That will be hard to do when they lose next week. If they had won today, I really think that they would’ve won out. However, my guess is that this latest come from ahead loss was the final hurrah for this group. I hope that I’m wrong but I doubt that I’ll be.This team will win out.
It would be very surprising if we don’t win the next 3. But the Bowl Game would be tough to call at this point. This team will win out.
Played three very tough defenses and never quit. I think they are gaining confidence, hope the OC doesn’t ruin itThat will be hard to do when they lose next week. If we play like we did today we will. This team will win out.
You have more confidence in the intestinal fortitude of this team than I do; I have a feeling that after today’s obligatory collapse, several of these players will have checked out for the test of the season, especially if the weather is going to be bad, which it could be for all of these remaining games.Played three very tough defenses and never quit. I’m afraid that today may break them. I think they played their guts out. I hope it doesn’t lead into that let down next week.If we play like we did today we will.
See UCLA game; it will.I’m afraid that today may break them. I think they played their guts out. I hope it doesn’t lead into that let down next week.
Will be interesting to see what happens. A win today would have been huge. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of them pack it in for the year because they’ve already done that for 3 games this year.I’m afraid that today may break them. I think they played their guts out. I hope it doesn’t lead into that let down next week.
Well now that just discourages them from wanting to win
This team will win out.
Have mercy...I just had dinner!
The OC should no longer be calling plays.Played three very tough defenses and never quit. I think they are gaining confidence, hope the OC doesn’t ruin it
Really, the only thing they have to play for is a bottom of the barrel bowl (bowel?) game, probably in Detroit or some other armpit. I suspect that today was their real "bowl game," a chance to play spoiler to IU. I think too, this loss is just begging for another collapse next week. Hope I'm wrong. I'll be interested in seeing what Nebraska does against UCLA tonight. If they really look bad, Penn State might have a puncher's chance in that game. You have more confidence in the intestinal fortitude of this team than I do; I have a feeling that after today’s obligatory collapse, several of these players will have checked out for the test of the season, especially if the weather is going to be bad, which it could be for all of these remaining games.
This team will win out.
I don’t know about Nebraska because of their qb, but MSU if they have their starting qb and definitely Rutgers will score at least in the 20s against this defense, and Rutgers probably will score in the 30s. Also, both MSU and Nebraska will have had off weeks before they play PSU.So what happens when we lose to Michigan St? Another great effort? Snakebit? Which excuse is next?
I thought they were supposed to role over at Iowa, then it was IU who was going to score 50 on us. I always thought that this IU game, if PSU played hard, would be similar to IU’s games against Oregon and Iowa; I never considered PSU to be outclassed by them and the point spread was absurd. IU in no way is the second best team in the country.I thought they were supposed to role over at Iowa, then it was IU who was going to score 50 on us. The team is not going to give up.
Don’t think so. You just played #1 and #2. You had #2 against the wall. The D came to life today, particularly when #25 replaced #0. That kid can play. The O got going too. Grunk has had the most ridiculous start in CFB history and today manufactured a 71% completion rate. Wut?? He sprayed some bad passes and still started looking downfield. They are in. We win the next three.I’m afraid that today may break them. I think they played their guts out. I hope it doesn’t lead into that let down next week.
Fights in the Champs parking lot?So what happens when we lose to Michigan St?
Exactly! If the prestigious Land Grant trophy doesn't motivate you, what will?
Put some lasers in that thing and we’ll get it done.
Then hire Hartline as the Head Coach.Smith will finish with 3 wins and go 6-6 + a bowl win
Agreed, but the Buckeyes seem so far ahead of anyone else right now it reminds me of some of Saban‘s Bama teams.IU in no way is the second best team in the country.
Yeah anyone advocating for Terry Smith isn’t serious. Then hire Hartline as the Head Coach.
This cheerleader looks 40 years old. Not that there is anything wrong that. She's a fox.
Coaches scared. Just like his boss Franklin. No guts.Yeah anyone advocating for Terry Smith isn’t serious.
You forgot that fans weren’t going to show up today. Pretty damn loud caused Indiana confusion.I thought they were supposed to role over at Iowa, then it was IU who was going to score 50 on us. The team is not going to give up.
All of those years of changing brand from power football to finesse - coupled with ridiculously easy schedules masked to decay and rot of program.I don’t know about Nebraska because of their qb, but MSU if they have their starting qb and definitely Rutgers will score at least in the 20s against this defense, and Rutgers probably will score in the 30s. It’s just blind faith to think or expect that this demoralized team will win all of these games or really any of them. These last three games, and really most of this season, have just been a waste of time; this nightmare honestly can’t end soon enough.
I just wish that we could fast forward to December to hire the new coach and get on with the future of this program.
They are still Indiana. A decent power football team - at home - would have simply imposed their will.I always thought that this IU game, if PSU played hard, would be similar to IU’s games against Oregon and Iowa; I never considered PSU to be outclassed by them and the point spread was absurd. We win out now.330 start on CBS… if anyone cares anymore… ugh!
Yes and the timeout at the end a terrible decision. Saves 1-2 seconds and killed all flexibility.Smith and Kotelnicki played a timid not to lose offense series just before the 2:00 minute mark. It was a coaching blunder that cannot be overlooked. The Indiana game was winnable.
It's possible that this team has less intestinal fortitude than our fans do, but it's highly unlikely. You have more confidence in the intestinal fortitude of this team than I do; I have a feeling that after today’s obligatory collapse, several of these players will have checked out for the test of the season, especially if the weather is going to be bad, which it could be for all of these remaining games.
