Sept. 13th ,Sept. 20th ,and Oct. 5th , so far we have responses from Mallard Creek ,Bandy ,Olimpic, and a team out of Maryland that's willing to come to Murphy.

Murphy will play anybody anywhere anytime...always look foward to the Murphy Franklin every year...so as of now who does murphy have locked in for non conf besides Franklin
Bandys and Olympic would be very cool. Mallard Creek not worth the beating, physically or scoreboard.
I'm sure magdumb will be along shortly to let us know we're a bunch of pansies if we don't play Mallard Creek .

One thing that I never see mentioned is jv scheduling. SMC are bound to have difficulty scheduling teams just on the fact that their jv' s can't play other jv's. The only real way to schedule a non conference game with an SMC team is to schedule it on a date that another team is playing an SMC team, and have those 2 jv' s play. Jv schedules usually mimick the varsity, and if your varsity is playing a team that your jv cant, it has to make it that much more difficult.
Due to middle school participants on our JVs we are allowed fewer games and our schedule does not mimick the varsity schedule. It does allow our JVs to have a shorter season and our 9th graders to move up.
Its junior high not jvs. We use to play tj at junior high. We can play 8 or 9 games but most only play 6. Some play each other twice for a 7th game.
I don't know how many schools would want to give a boarding school that takes WNC public school kids and lets them reclass a peek at what they have coming up.

Still need weeks 4 and 5 and one needs to be a home game.
Figured soon as magnum seen unz had an open date he would schedule unz to play Asheville, a.c, mnt heritage, a couple 6a schools from Florida and Texas!!
Why dont the teams in the smc consider playing each other twice since we have trouble finding proper opponents? Its either we find schools that playing amounts to a practice or schools we have a serious disadvantage against. The gates and competition would be good and the extra game wouldnt count as an smc game. Its not perfect but beats playing a home school team or a mallard creek. I think sm, franklin, pishah are great non conference opponents, but mallard creek and now christ school not so much.
