Disappointing them cheering against us. Everybody knows the hate UL has for us as well as most WKU fans. Wonder if all the state teams feel that way toward us?

When I was in school at WKU, many WKU students were also UK fans. Now a lot were UL fans because many WKU students came from Louisville.

But I think they weren’t so much against UK as much as they were seeing their chances at going to Sweet 16 skyrocketing up.

It makes sense that Murray would pull against UK. They want to get to the Sweet 16. They are a strong favorite against St Peters and wouldn’t be against the Cats.

Murray has a solid following of fans who are surprisingly intense in their fandom. This bunch, about 5000-6000 strong, travel well. They were just hoping for an easier second round opponent.

I’m from Cadiz and can tell you West Kentucky is Wildcat crazy. Murray was just pulling for their best interest.

A good friend of mine used to lived in Cadiz. Over the years she probably sent me at least 50 photos of your decorative pigs. She loves those things.

Murray alum here. Most Murray fans I know are also UK fans. I’m UK but always pull for Murray to do well. Hated seeing them potentially facing each other but would never hope we lose so Murray could have a better shot. I’m sure the Murray fans there were Murray first fans and UK 2nd (not all cases) but probably most. That being said since we didn’t take care of business will certainly be pulling for them to advance as far as they can.

I went to Murray. And uk. Murray is full of uk fans. I’ve lived in Lexington for 20 plus years now. If central Kentucky could bother itself to pay attention to west Kentucky it would know that. But it thinks Owensboro is on the border with Missouri.

Have lived in Owensboro, Hopkinsville and Harlan. Not being from those places the few sports guys would talk to seems I remember were UK people. Have just always took for granted UK first for most.

Murray State alum here as well. Was in Indy pulling for both teams to win. I am UK first and foremost. Was extremely upset with UK screwing up an easy game. That is completely on Calipari. All the fans by me were cheering for both except Tennessee fans who threw a party and made fun of us. It's not Murray's fault Kentucky couldn't keep their part of the bargain. Can't speak for others but UK has always been first in my sports world including all other sports but I'm not pulling against other State schools except Louisville. I could never ever pull for Louisville or Tennessee in my lifetime. Last night and today were hard if you are as big a UK fan as I especially being here in indy with basically only Cats gear to wear.

Is this for real? There isn’t a single team that pulls for whoever would be the more difficult of their next matchup. If your chance of getting to the S16 means either going through UK or St. Peter’s, you’re going to pull for St. Peter’s all day every day
