Lost 5 in a row. Probably would have in 2020, but he was fired before he could get there.

Kudos to Beamer! Curiously, the last coach to oversee 5 straight losses is none other than Shawn Elliott (though obviously not his fault).

Have to go back 26 years to find a non-interim HC who lost 5 in a row.

Yep, Lou's first season in '99 was last actual coach. Fat Brad left him hardly anything to work with other than Petty and Abraham.

Beamer's pathetic.

Unfortunately, you are wrong. Our greatest coach, Steven Orr Spurrier, lost 5 in a row to end the season in 2007.

Take a lap.

I took this little cute blonde I had started seeing to the Vandy game that season. She was a big Carolina fan. That loss pissed us both off so bad and was so unexpected we didn't say a word the entire trip home. I stopped seeing her soon after. Maybe we felt like we were jinxing the team. I don't know.

That would have been Holtz. I don't know if you can use Holtz to impeach Beamer.

No. And we all now the circumstances surrounding that season for Holtz. Year 1 of his tenure and the previous coach left truly empty cupboards. This is Beamer's 5th year. Mostly just pointing that it's been more than a quarter century since a non-interim head coach lost 5 in a row.

No it hasn't. Did you read post #3 in this thread?!
You're right, I missed one.

So we've had 2 in the last quarter century. That's much better.

I can revise it to say the last time we had a coach in his 5th year or later lose 5 games in a row was 27 years ago.
