This was done on short notice, kind of on the fly. So I went straight from my last appt in HP to Jasons deli on Mockingbird. So my sox were my work socks. Solid white. I think my dad wore argyle socks in the 50s. But I do not think I ever did.

If we ever went out on a date with Sockless, I would dress more tastefully. But tonight was about sharing old war stories and meeting for both of us a poster with whom we had talked for close to 15 years.

I think most of us here would love to meet most of the other posters here. I just got to meet the one that most men here would most like to. I feel so envied.

Ah, so that cop didn't drive me past the Argyle sock plant, the bastard...

"If we..." Are you trying to say that was a mouse in your pocket while you were wearing dirty socks?

fitty, I may not be quite as white as you. I am actually two tone. My legs are white. The wierd? Shoulders are white at top to the lower shoulder blades. Then dark complected to legs. Looks as if laid prone in the sun with legs and shoulder blades to shoulders covered. 4 brothers and sisters are white. A dead sister was red like father.

Younger man saw brown straight hair with black streaks at back of the head and neck. I have a wide Sub Saharan African nose from paternal grandmother. My father had classic Indigenous American nose. My Irish mother had narrow European Caucasian nose.

From the Eastern Band of the Cherokee in my long running battle, "Guys like you are really colored guys who thinks you're Indians."

Four hours...wow, get from behind me envy!

So, you think she'd mind if you posted one of the many 'selfies' of her you surely took?

Mmm?
The board would like to know...:D

There was a nice lady cleaning up behind the counter at Jason's Deli, and we asked her to take a couple of pics with the sockless cell and the board's favorite blonde sent me a copy of one. But for it to be posted here, you will have to talk her into doing it. A different sort of seduction. Since it was taken with her phone, she has proprietary rights. And a gentleman has certain limitations. So we literally closed the place.

I tend to have a pretty lousy smile when the business end of a camera is pointed in my direction, but great company brings out the best in all of us. I suspect that before the end of the year, that will be on my facebook page.

I cannot tell you how honored and privileged I felt, to have the board icon share dinner with me. But I plan to write a tell all book when a decade has passed.

Well, yeah, don't post anything here without her permission.
That had to be a thrill having dinner with her.

I know it's one of the seven deadlies, but yep, envious.

Miss you, frou!!! Love you, too!!!

btw, I was thinking of your brother, Duke, when I was driving from Amarillo to Norman about a month ago. My heart still aches for his loss.
I don't remember if I thanked you after that horrible day but I really appreciated your being at the funeral and for all your friendship through it all. Take care sister.

No thanks needed, frou...it was indeed a horrible day & I felt completely helpless, but I thought if all I could do was be there to show my support, then that's what I needed to do. Duke does cross my mind from time to time...I remember the happier times...Shay's infectious smile...and pictures of a sweet, young family...please tell Duke that I asked about him and that he will forever be in my prayers.
