My hope about Starling's decision

Is it possible the longer this process takes, the more it means NU's ridiculous admissions is involved?

Whatever the final decision, I applaud Starling and his family for taking control of the process, and moving at their own pace.

Prospects (in any sport) don’t take official visits to NU unless they have already been cleared by admissions.

This article is wrong, right? Wasn't his visit the other weekend "official"? The article says he only took official visits to Duke, Notre Dame and Syracuse.
Yes, he was definitely on an official visit to Northwestern 2 weeks ago, so the article is wrong.

That's super interesting. I'm in a similar boat. Hope that doesn't mean it's definitely ND. 😬
Also Brumbaugh and starling we’re buddies before their recruiting trip, so it was to our advantage that they came together.

Very reliable source said the kid will make an announcement within a week. NU has a shot.

I also wish Turk would lose that dumb *** “Fans Wanna Know” moniker as well.
I've been thinking about adding a moniker/catch phrase to end all my posts as well. A few I am entertaining:

1) Takes one to know one
2) Get busy livin' or get busy dyin'
3) Subway. Eat Fresh.
4) What does the survey say?

An opinion is like an ***... everyone's got one?

Since 90% of turk's posts are like deadly farts in a crowded elevator... may I suggest
5) Who farted?

Has “where’s the beef?” been taken?

The hope is that, like Brumbaugh, Starling is inclined to doing the unconventional/take the unbeaten path.

(After all, being part of a FF team is another Dook team that failed to win the Natty, but leading NU deep into the Tourney and/or a B1G title - would attain legend status.)

In a recent interview, JJ stated that teammates (that he can depend on, can depend on him) is more important than connection to the coaching staff.

That can mean being surrounded by a certain level of talent, but one can also read it as Starling not planning on being a 1-and done player and wanting to be around players that he has chemistry/a bond with.

Think the Cats are still in it, but would like their chances better if there already was another good recruit in the class aside from Brumbaugh.

Writeup that says Starling played great this weekend and stands to see his ranking move up again.

“Win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat.”
Frustrating that the article specifically mentions "Duke, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Syracuse are all cracking down on him as he is coming down to a final decision soon."

And yet when you click on JJ's profile they list every school listed above except for NU. They throw in Maryland as "Warm" even though they aren't listed in the article. And if you view the "complete list" they list Siena, Alabama, and other schools that are clearly no longer mentioned as possibilities.

The constant disrespect from Rivals is one reason I find it difficult to really support the platform.

Also I don't think the author understands the term "cracking down"... but that's forgivable. Blatantly excluding NU from an exhaustive list is not. And I've noticed this same phenomenon many, many times before.

Rivals is projecting that Notre Dame is the team to beat for whatever that is worth...

If R.C., then N.D.? If U.M.C., then Duke, SU or the Cats. Why else would a young man pick a school?

You realize the link you put was to TOS, not Rivals, so any disrespect should be directed in their direction.
