Ament attended both of UK's victories over Tennessee. If nothing else he knows that UK is clearly the better team & basketball program.
He also got to see prime Rupp in action and not the dead TV version.
Isn't it funny how in big rivalry games on ESPN the Duke crowd always sounds like a plane taking off and Rupp sounds like my battery powered mower?
I don't know if that is by design, or not, but smaller gyms are generally louder.
Think back to your rivalries in high school days ...
Yeah maybe, I get it. But I've heard many announcers say that Rupp is as loud as anyplace when the rivalry is big. I've been to many games where you basically couldn't hear yourself talk.
