I wonder if Dabo allows his WR who he sent home from Miami to play in the title game? He definitely could help Clemson from everything I've read about him. Saban sent his backup DB home, but it was voted on by his team leaders to send him back and Saban agreed. Like a Joe Don thingy. I doubt he will be welcomed back by the Bama players.

May not be his decision if it was a failed drug test, as reported.

Okla, this made me smile. I hadn't thought about Joe Don in a lonnng time, and yet, he was unforgettable. His 'Antics' live on. I had a friend who had 3 sons who were teen-agers about the time Joe Don was making the news in such an unfavorable, negative way. When they would misbehave, or screw up, she'd tell me that he 'pulled a Joe Don'. It was an easy comparison...Her kid had done something BAD!

For you younger guys, here's a brief article to introduce you to Joe Don. Like Cher...Elvis...Usher, he needs no last name...his first one says it all...

I was still in high school when Joe Don got kicked off the team and was really upset about it. I was a big Joe Don fan....as in I worshiped him. Back then there wasn't very much info coming out by the media like there is today, so all we heard was that Joe Don had smacked someone. All I cared about at that time was that we weren't going to have one of the nation's best RB the rest of the season. It was the only thing that Bud ever did to piss me off. Fast forward to the next season, my senior year. Our head coach hired one of his former players from Heavner, OK who played center and LB at OU. In 1963, he had served as a grad assistant for Bud. He was one mean SOB, but did a great job as a coach. We played for a state championship losing to Ada and Bobby Warmack. I got to know this young coach pretty well and he changed how I felt about Joe Don's dismissal. I learned a whole lot more about Looney (and a few other players whose names I won't mention) that wasn't ever known about back then until the book Third Down and Forever -the rise and fall of Joe Don Looney was published. I still have my copy somewhere around the house. This young coach was John Tatum. The grad assist that Joe Don slugged. But that single act wasn't the reason that Bud did what he did. BTW, when I told him now upset I was with Bud he said....and I can hear him now as clearly as 52 years ago....."Son, you don't know your *** from a hole in the ground." Haha. And he was right. We became good friends. Last I heard, coach Tatum had retired to Alabama. I hope he is doing well. I miss him.

This is going to be Clemson O against Bama D. With what I saw from Clemson on Thursday night I think Bama wins. I would prefer Clemson to win but I don't wee it at this time.

I really could care less about this game. I do think Bama is superior...but I also believed the Sooneds were too. Time to kiss college football goodbye until Sept. when we open against Houston.

If wishes were horses, then dreamers would ride...

Now if wishes were reindeer, dreamers would be skeered of aOm aggies...

If Clemson beats up on Bama, it looks better for OUr poor showing against them. And I'm all for that...

Hope Clemson wins so Dabo finally gets a natty, but feel this is Alabama's year. Regardless, if it's a close game, I will like it whoever wins.

I like Zero's post.

But guess if I have to pick, I'll go with Alabama. Hard to bet against Saban in a title game and he has his team motivated.

Clemson kinda quiet this week. But I'll still take them over Bama. Whatever it takes for ESPN to have crap on their face.
