NBA players who haven’t come back

I was trying to think of some of our recent NBA players who left after one season and never came back. Either to attend a game, workout, take classes, be the Y, whatever…

I can’t recall if SGA has ever come back, Daniel Orton? Fox? Somebody with season tickets would know better. Just curious. Not an easy google search

What about all the guys over the years that didn't make the pros? Have they all come back?

And the comments about one and done apply to a lot of our players this season too. They came here to get the big UK NIl payday before they go overseas or go pro in something else. So strange some of our fans don't see its the same picture.

I presume the answer is a whole lot of them …perhaps even most. The typical Cal era recruit was only here for a few months as his obligatory pit stop between HS and the pros … so why would that guy feel the need to come back?

Life happens.

After I graduated UK I did not go back for more than a decade and I'm from Kentucky.

He has came back, but Mashburn is as revered as nearly any previous player. He is like Riley and bigger than us.

He keeps his distance.

There is a pretty clear inverse correlation to the length of time Cal was here and the likelihood of a player supporting the university. The early players like Wall and Cousins still openly talk about Kentucky. The later players were poisoned against the fan base by Cal, intentionally. Over time he decided it was going to be them (and him) against us. It worked really well. He had great results on the court those years.

Don't know but AD donated 350,000 to the flood victims. That tells you a lot about his character.
