The top eight began match play today. OU (#2 after four rounds) was matched against #7 baylor
Baylor began by taking the first match, led in three others, and were tied in the fifth. Then, Baylor went up 2-0. OU stormed back and had a 2-2 tie with Dalke set to win the last match, leading by a stroke on #18 with the Baylor golfer off the green.

But, the Baylor golfer chipped in for a birdie to tie. Dalke got a par on the first playoff hole which was enough to win the match.. OU advances to the semi-finals, 3-2.

No, not literally but they play it often. OU clenched spot in the finals by winning the first 3 matches out.

And they definitely had the crowd ... and sseemingly the Golf Channel talking heads. The kept talking about which matches Illinois had to flip to win.

I turned to it late and all I heard & saw was slobbering over Vandy & Oregon; nada word about the Sooners although I saw one guy in colors in the background following the crowd. Hopefully that meant our guys were getting fed & rested by then.
