Just a place to discuss if y'all want.

Day 1, had an upset or two but nothing world beating.

Make it 14-1. Jags have something like a dozen hits in the bottom of the 6th

UF result was amazing. Talking heads mentioned a week ago they were regaining luster lost from going from pre-season #1 to squeezing into tourney but now that 19-1 loss was the worst NCAA tourney loss for any SEC team EVER.

Ben McDonald is a class act but it's trash that ESPN assigned him to the LSU regional, especially when they aren't even the 1 seed.
The UK vs FL SEC tournament game soured me on McDonald and Burke. Every other word was “Sully.” I thought both came off as showing no respect for UK and total clowns. Perhaps UK doesn’t deserve a ton of respect but as announcers you should be somewhat impartial. I felt at times it was the FL radio network. I can tell Burke has little respect for UK anyway, but he sure likes UL.

McDonald and Burke are the two biggest “homers” on the SEC network. The guy that played at Ole Miss is really good in my opinion, even though his name escapes me at the moment.

He's from Louisville. So is Justin Thomas who went to Ala to play golf and he's a big U6 fan as well .

Question about Virginia: Why was their Super played in Columbia SC?

Virginia was a 3 seed in a regional hoated by USC and Dallas Baptist was a 2 in a regional hosted by TCU. Since they both won and neither schools were host sites, the NCAA picked a 'neutral' site that was a host site. So USC got it. Could have stuck it in Fort Worth at TCU, but let's face it... they gave it to the bigger fanbase to make more money.

I think part of it was a Covid19 protocol quirk.

Pretty much what I figured, but did it draw well?

No. Founder's Park seats around 8,000 people and I think they probably never got over 2,000 total. I think Monday's game was no more than 1,300. If they held it at Virginia then they probably would have had a full 6,000+ for each game.

Did not make much sense to me at all.

Miss State and Arkansas was packed. Seemed like Arizona had a big crowd for their final win over Ole Miss as well. Good to see!!

Haven't really talked about the CWS. It has been pretty crazy and it just got a be more weird as Tennessee volunteer assistant coach Ross Kivett is ejected in the bottom of the 4th just prior to a 2 out walk and 2 RBI single to give Texas a 6-4 lead.

Apparently Kivett was ejected after slamming his clipboard down on the railing, angry over the strikezone. 3rd base umpire sent him packing and Kivett got his TV time. At least, from what I can gather. Haven't seen a clip yet.

My question is with NC St and UVA having good CWS showings...how the hell did Duke win the ACC tourney??

I thought the NCAA picked 20 possible host schools before the season- pretty much trying to predict who would get the top seeds.
