Too many drops and not enough discipline. With that combo, we will NOT win another game this year.
THe QB throws an interception in the endzone cause a 14 point swing. Then gets what should have been a game winner he takes his helmet off and gets 15 yard penalty and they get the ball at the 50.

Greene cost this team an Ugly win tonight. Instead it's an ugly loss and probably Houston's final win of the season which will make this an even uglier loss.

He ain't going nowhere. WVU will win 7 games, maybe 8. They'll get in a decent bowl game. And nobody going to pay $9 million to buy him out.

That’s a program altering loss. It would take a hell of a rally for that one to not ruin the season.

We had multiple chances to take control of the game and just didn't do it.

I'll believe the 7 or 8 wins when I see it cause this team nobody knows what they're going to do week to week.

Oklahoma State playing better
@UCF 0-3 in Big 12 you just saw what we do against teams with no Big 12 wins.
BYU 4-1 who knows what will happen in this one
@ Oklahoma - loss no need to worry about it
Cincinnati no Big 12 wins yet again we are the gift that keeps on giving
@ Baylor currently terrible but you never know about this team.

We could finish 0-6 or 5-1

Houston has left
Texas
@Kansas State
@Baylor
Cincinnati
Oklahoma State
@UCF

They'll be lucky to get another win.

He has no future here. Its not a hot seat ,there is no seat. The longer Neal Brown is at WVU the further WVU will be from being a top team in the conference. There is no game he is going to win or lose this season with such a weak schedule that will change the fact that Neal Brown is not a coach for the B12. The longer he's here, the further we will be. We just did a 55 million dollar upgrade and he's wasting the resource. Get a real coach in here asap.

For every year Clown stays, he sets the program back 10. I know the University has financial issues, but EGG and Wren are going to have to bite the bullet on Clown.

We’ll win 7. We’re basically playing a bunch of teams like us, we’ll win a few and lose a few. Neal will be back to do it again.

He isn't worth a million. How did this guy get the job and this salary? rhetorical question
Matt freaking Canada. Yep, that’s right. If Troy doesn’t beat LSU while he is the coordinator….perhaps he wouldn’t have been as high on our list during the coaching search.

Totally agree. They have to take the pill, pay the buyout and get rid of Brown. He is holding the program back for 5 years and the longer they wait the further it sets the team back. Its ridiculous.

The waste was made in year 2 by Shane Lyons giving a coach that went 6-4 on a shortened Covid schedule an extension and 20 million dollar buyout while it drops only 4 million on every Jan 1st and leaving WVU stranded with no way out.

Doesn't matter if he loses the rest he will still be back. Unless you have 12 million on you and we can get started.

Sour grapes Petey. Just do your jobs and knock the ball down.

Idgaf if they tripped the whole damn line, they’re 50 yards away from winning the game, why the hell is there not 8+ guys camped out in the end zone? Somehow it seemed like half our guys were behind the play and not in the end zone? How is that possible?

Brown is okay. No speed on the team. Have to fix that. Coach could be a whole lot worse, E.G Dana
If Brown can't get the talent he is a worse coach. The HC is responsible for the whole team. If Dana gets ****, and rightly so, for WVU having hot garbage defense and no depth behind the patchwork transfers then Brown takes **** for not having a restocked roster after 5 years of recruiting for WVU.

He also missed some wide open WR's as well when we struggled. That miss swing pass to Donaldson might have been a house call.

Also had wide open receivers that just plain drop the ball as well. That one drop in the end zone that got picked caused a 14 point swing.

seems to me he is a good coach. hire a recruiter. the last big time recruiter was stewart. would like to see what this coach could have done with the immense talent dana inherited at wvu.

And whoever finds the recruiter, make them the head coach since you are having them do the head coaches job! This not the NFL where there is a GM and head coach. This is NCAA where the HC makes the big bucks to run the team in both roles. That means making the hires AND recruiting the talent. Any HC has areas he is not skilled at whether it is recruiting, offense coordination, defensive coordination, QB coaching, etc... However it is the HC's responsibility to find and hold accountable a staff member to specialize in that aspect. That's why HC's make far more than coordinators and why any HC worth his salt accomplishes this task. You can't say Brown is a good head coach while acting like he is not responsible for aspects of the team that clearly fall under the head coaches responsibility.

WVU does have a GM now.
It is not the same as the NFL. Neal is ultimately responsible for establishing a vision and culture for the program. He is then responsible for recruiting the talent and making it fit that vision and culture. He is then responsible for developing and refining that talent into effective players on the field. He is then responsible for creating a general scheme for the season to get the best outcome with the players available. He then must make game by game adjustments to that scheme based upon recent events and the opponent.

That does not mean he must micromanage all of that himself. It does means if anything along that chain of events appears to be broken, he is responsible for diagnosing it and fixing it. Such is the job for all head coaches at this level. And it is outlandish to say Brown is a good head coach while also saying someone else should be taking his responsibilities.

That was the knock on Stewart in that he did not want to shake up his staff by micromanaging or replacing an obviously underperforming coordinator. No one at the time was saying Stewart is a great head coach and someone else should just hire the right coordinators for him.
