A 3-8 team missing its longtime starting QB is favored over a 9-2 #16 ranked team. Should be interesting. Every one of Neb’s losses has been by one score except OSU which was only one point off (9).

Dang, K-State-Texas got the Fox slot instead of this one. Network must think that people prefer Texas’ collapse to Nebraska’s. (Probably too charitable to call either a ‘collapse’ — really, ‘continuing demise’.)
For what it’s worth, I’m happy Iowa and Nebraska have continued this after-Thanksgiving tradition. Helps to make ‘National Pumpkin Pie for Breakfast and College Football’ Day my favorite of the year, except for those times I get confused and expect the Cats to play also.

Research reveals the 2015 NU team I compare 2021 Iowa to was a 7.5pt underdog to 3 wins-at-the-time Nebraska. Two teams Rodney Dangerfield could be proud of.

I keep hearing ad nauseam how many of Nebraska’s games were close.
Enough. We did our damned part and the game wasn’t close.
Having a reliable kicker has done a world of good for Ioa. They have perhaps the most anemic offense possible for a 10-2 team, but obviously their defense is quite sound. Kicker has tipped the balance more than once.
Yikes, in 4th quarter clutch time Smothers gives up a safety and throws a game ending INT to no Husker in particular.
That was a painful game to watch. I found myself rooting for Frost which I know is a no-no on this board. Nebraska even got a couple of calls. Nebraska has been on the short end of the BigTen calls so often I think the refs were a little in their corner.

They beat us by 49 points, and lost their other 8 conference games by 49 points total.
Their special teams were a big factor. Supposedly they allowed 8 touchdowns, missed 8 field goals, and also 4 extra points - that’s an 84 point differential due to their special teams alone!
Of course they embarrassed us in Lincoln… they’re the Greatest 3-9 team of all time.

Clown. He is too busy panicking every game. The in game pick with Iowa getting 12.5 in the third was easy money.
