Im glad this is finally happening. As evidenced by this quote from the Lincoln High coach, I can tell you this staff was a "no-shows" their first two years to most NE high schools. Even thoughI was called a liar when I mentioned this.

"Macke said talking to people in the building, they didn't know when the last time a Nebraska coach stepped foot in the hallways of Lincoln High."

However, it's good that they are doing it now and it will pay dividends at some point in time.

No disrespect flare because I know you have a hard on for our AD and you want old school NU. But hate to break it to you...NU will never be relevant again recruiting only local kids. If you want to keep up with OSU, Michigan and PSU you gotta recruit NATIONALLY. And we are now and that started with our AD and Riley.

Please share the last 5 Lincoln High players to play college football at ANY level including their name and college attended?

I never said only recruit local kids or nebraska kids. But I do expect them to get to area HS and develop a relationship with coaches. That's not an unrealistic expectation.

They are doing that. They are also doing something Bo and his "can't recruit to Lincoln" BS staff couldn't do. Recruiting top talent nationally. So sorry they didn't have time to grab coffee with Links head coach. They are busy restocking the cupboards left bare from Bo.

So they didn't make it to Lincoln high, per your source. What about the rest of the state? When you say they didn't show up to most high schools in the state, is this from your source or are you basing it on the comment from the Lincoln high coach? Under Riley's tenure in Lincoln 9 Nebraska kids have accepted scholarships to play here (including this year). It seems to me they aren't ignoring the state like you are contending...

And like others have asked, who has come out of Lincoln high in recent years to get a D1 scholarship?

WHAT? Hate to burst your bubble but Nebraska has been seriously recruiting nationally since at least Jennings.

Unless I'm missing something, if they spend more time at area HS then they have to give up time at other schools. Those other schools appear to be sending high quality recruits our way. Have to find a balance. I'm sure these guys won't miss out at least watching a local/area kid to see if he is a fit for their vision.
