It's the bowl I wanted but hoping it wasn't UCLA.

But it's a team that our team will be fired up to play and beat.... I hope.

Looking at their final scores this year, I think this is a very winnable game for us. I doubt we will be favored, but GBR!

Great timeslot, great location and an opponent that we should care about after the last two games with them. Thank your fellow fans because every bowl knows we bring fans even when our team is lousy.

Location is great for this staff! Riley, Langs and Williams love CA recruits. #advertising

It will be interesting to see how motivated UCLA will be for this game. I would bet they won't be very motivated. That should help Nebraska a lot, even though the game will be played in UCLA's home state.

I watched most of their games so I could discuss at the gym with the UCLA fans. They appear to take quarters off like us and they appear to run hot and cold like us. Rosen can be rattled if our DL pressures him early. Mora and his staff are good at making adjustments (as we know). It should be a good game and IMHO we match up with them better than Wash St. I was sweating the Mad Scientist picking our defense apart again.

From SoCal seven hour drive. Cheapest LAX-SFO I could find is $239 round trip, plus one night hotel, plus rental car, plus game tickets. I will probably watch from home.

What would say are the strengths of their team?

Yes. I can get at least a little excited about this game. Great chance to make a statement if we can come out and get it done.

UCLA will be ready. I have a bad feeling about this game, but it seems like I have a bad feeling for every game. At least until we can get this turnover machine fixed. Hopefully one of these years!

plus side to this, Riley and his staff has faced UCLA how many times over the decades? Riley should know this team better then most coaches, he should know what it will take to beat these guys. I'm loving this match up.

For what it is worth Riley is 6-2 in Bowl games with OSU.

Sure the game will depend on how Armstrong performs. Really wish we had another QB waiting in the wings besides POB which doesn't do us any good in this game.

Yank Armstrong for 2 series on the first interception.
(if the interception is a bad decision on his part, and not just a good defensive play)
lets start getting next years players reps, where needed.

Wonder if the ticket stub will have a substantial discount for Foster Farms poultry products on the back side? :)
