Also the former Villanova Coach that Illinois has a very interesting way getting offensive rebounds , by having the guards from the corner after a missing 3 getting in the paint for rebounds and they get extra possessions.

On the other hand they are a young team with European players that if give them time they will score in bunches. We need to play good solid defense and run our offense and clean the boards and pressure the ball.

They good size so it’s go8ng to be a different type of game.

It's 2025. No one presses.

Even If ppl turn the ball over some, it's not the 90s, bigs can dribble

And also, maybe you haven't noticed, with injuries were aren't a deep team. Are you suggesting to exhaust our lineup? More brilliant analysis from you
Have you watched St Johns@?

Do you even like Kentucky? Because every post or thread you start is you complaining about Kentucky, or comparing Kentucky to sombody else. Always. Man enjoy the dang win and let’s see what happens Sunday. But the constant complaining and comparison stuff is crazy.
It's not a UK fan. It's a retread troll.

Do you know what ball presser is? It doesn’t have to be full court press. You can zone and play high pressure with your guards. I’m not says my do that what I’m saying without overplaying a defender on the ball make Illinois move it. They are prone to TOs

Do you? I’m responding to a litany of crap and this thread was about how to win defensively. What did I say that was disparaging? The “no excuses bit” please..You question my love for UK especially this thread you better have some facts to back things up. There was a time me when every fan was like me. Cals losing softened up the young ones. There’s only one way UK is successful and it’s not Flowers and cakes.

We don't have the team to press, and we certainly don't have the experience to break it out in the tournament game. Nope, just man up, tight, and keep your hands active.
That’s called ball pressure when you give zero space. I didn’t say full court press

We don't have the bodies, or the athleticism for this, being quite honest here.

At this point, the half court defense will have to do. We're going to have to win by being near perfect in our offensive execution and keeping bodies fresh for that execution.. this just isn't the team that can or should press very often.

This guy starts threads about negative aspects in hopes of saying “I told you so!”

he was banging his nonsense drum yesterday about how Ole Miss would never beat UNC.

He is full of insight.

Watch how the Arkansas guards get right up in their grill. They challenge every pass -- and every dribble. Butler should at least be doing that with his quick hands.

We don’t have the guys to press well.
A little mind boggling that folks don’t understand this. Hell, we can’t defend 30 feet of the court a lot of nights. Not sure what would lead anyone to believe we can do it across 94 feet of the court.

Need to get the ball out of their points hands. Make somebody else make plays.
