Neeli's got her resume updated

Kevin has his ear to the ground in town and is a lawyer so I think he's pretty careful about what he posts.

If true then Neeli's got one foot out the door, but I can't see where she'd get more money than the Brinks truck BOT Chair Dave Kleppinger has backing into her bank account every two weeks. And a 5 year evergreen contract? UNC could not possible match that deal. She must be desperate to get out of town and willing to downshift to do it.

Her administration team is a revolving door and most of the senior positions are currently interim or acting. That PA state representative raked her over the coals in Harrisburg over the new BOT bylaws and Neeli's reply was 'Don't pin that on me. I just work here.'

Well despite probably doing her best due diligence she probably had grandiose ideas about the academic mission here at Old Coaly University and would playing amongst the academics and doing what other universities do ...only to run into a Money grubbing backroom good ole boys network of a BOT....not what she signed up for I presume

If we are lucky, every one that complains about her nonstop will get their wish and she will leave. Then they will hire someone else that some can chronically complain about. Should be fun.

Joe Paterno spent 51 years at PSU and Bendapudi is looking to leave in less than 3 - I wonder if she will have the words to explain if asked about this?

Thankfully seems like numerous state rep's of PA are starting to cast a strong light towards PSU and the BOT. The BOT may have overplayed their hand this last time changing bylaws. Add in state reps saying their offices are getting many calls from PSU alumni complaining about the PSU BOT. Neeli see's a storm brewing and she doesn't want to be left holding a pair of deuces for her hand. Keep up the pressure on your state rep's people, finally people are noticing what is going on at PSU and the spotlight is starting to shine on the BOT, while we watch the cockroaches scatter....

Maybe she just doesn't Belong. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
I literally tune her out when she starts nattering on and God bless my hearing aids. But I remember one of her first speeches where she swore "I have had a wonderful academic career but Penn State is my last stop. I will retire from here." Followed by a very annoying giggle fit.

I'm no fan of Neeli's, but what role did she play in rewriting the BoT's bylaws?
Very little if at all, but the BOT has let her be the face of everything and take all the heat. Show's more incompetence by the BOT letting the head of the university take all the heat for their poor decisions.

She's a useful idiot for the people who are actually in charge

Well, one of the main roles of any university president/chancellor is to be the face of the university.

While I did not see the exchange of the PA representative that @ValleyForgeLion referenced, if that representative thinks that Neeli has any say in the BoTs bylaws, then they're not even a useful idiot.

My recent conversation with David K. indicates Nelli is supposedly results oriented and looking at performance issues. When I asked about her love and dependence on DEI - he said she will always look for Diversity in all areas of the University.

To me, what I have heard for David from the very beginning - she is 'all flash, no cash' or just enough 'sizzle up front to please.'

Imagine being so royally screwed that your only hope is: The PA state legislature
That, my friends, is screwed beyond repair.

NC State, not UNC. Different universities within the UNC system.

The NC system job - Chancellor at NC State was highly sought by several national candidates (rumored to be 75). Neeli threw her hat in. It’s a bit disappointing but par for the course apparently.

Some dude tweeted it so it must be true…..

Really though, whether she was a candidate or not, I’d think any university would keep candidate names out of the public eye.
I agree. Neeli’s either leaking in hopes of getting a raise/extension or there’s a mole within Old Main. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

Kevin Horne isn’t the most trustworthy person I’ve ever met. He reminds me of a grown version of this…
