XL tripped and started falling down annd the ball still hit him in the chest on the first, and hit him in the hands perfectly on the 2nd. In the NFL the ball is there when you turnaround….he was startled when he turned around. Can happen to anyone, but receivers have to make plays and we can’t have one receiver every game having a bad day.I only saw one that was to Xavier and it was severely underthrown so not so fast.
the blocking is still just plain sad. Tackles don't have to think. move and push
Alright Reel. Help me out please sir. I know you promote positive, as do I. But I also believe in being factual. And calling what I see as bad effort, timing, mechanics, or to some degree talent. Question for you: Is Jordan Burch in the wrong position? If not, should he put his hand on the ground to lower his playing level. He just seems hesitant, in my most honest and positively constructive opinion. Too many plays get outside of him and too many plays he is engaged with blocker as play cuts back inside and he inevitably is trailing the play. I see him as a potential beast who, if you go back and watch, is running 8 yards behind ball carriers to his side, running for 20 yards. He should be a Micah Parsons type of player. 6'6" 275 and fast?? I just don't get it and have written this call to action 10 times on this forum. Help me understand what is up with this player, position? he could change the entire defense-one position. Forcing plays opposite where he is. But there is not fear to go right at him. Why? I went to the ARky Game and there was a 17 yrd run where Rocket Sanders swept right past him and he moved slightly towards the runner and then shrugged and sulked to the sideline. then had lots of coaching counsel on the sideline. help me understandI didn't see the first. The second looked like he could have thrown a much better pass. But I'm no expert. It could be a timing route where Rattler just turns, looks and throws to a spot. We're off somewhere between the WRs and QB.
I think Burch suffers from Private School 5 Star Syndrome. Kids in private schools who are very physically talented don't face many, if any, opposing players close to their physical abilities for their entire middle and high school careers so their stats and tape look amazing. When they step up to the college level and they have to play against equally talented opponents they are suddenly pretty average. I have heard whispers of Arch Manning possibly being a victim of PS5STS. Some writers have said if his name wasn't Manning and he played somewhere besides a private school he would be a 3 star qb.Alright Reel. Help me out please sir. I know you promote positive, as do I. We have very few playmakers on this team including at receiver. It will take Beamer time to change that through recruiting. Also dropped INTs as well.should have had both of them.
@Slim Chickens Gamecock I fully endorse the above post.I think Burch suffers from Private School 5 Star Syndrome. I agree and I also think receiving yards should be limited to the yards gained or lost on the actual throw. A screen pass thrown 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage and then run 90 yards for a td with the receiver breaking 5 tackles goes in the books as a 90 yd td throw and pads the qb stats.Totally agree that the 2 interceptions were no fault of Rattler. I always felt that the statistics should be revised whereby interceptions were the result of a perfectly thrown ball bouncing off the WR's body or hands should be classified differently. It is absolutely misleading and unfair to attribute the interception to the QB in these circumstances.

I remember that play against Arkansas and it bothered me. It made me question his will.Alright Reel. Help me out please sir. I know you promote positive, as do I. But I also believe in being factual. Totally agree with your comment. You read my mind because this is another misleading QB statistic. It is no wonder some QBs with mind blowing statistics turn out to be not what the inaccurate statistics portray them to be.I agree and I also think receiving yards should be limited to the yards gained or lost on the actual throw.
