Keep an eye out for Second Chance U at the end of the month, it's a Netflix original documentary about East Mississippi CC.

I really enjoyed Dear Jack. It's basically a first person POV of musician Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate/Jack's Mannequin) being diagnosed with and his subsequent recovery from leukemia. Really interesting up close look of someone battling cancer, and gets pretty rough in spots.

Anything by Errol Morris. See "Thin Blue Line" above. "The Fog of War" is fantastic if you are a military history buff. As someone above pointed out "Cartel Land" is a good one that I watched recently although that is not by EM.

Also, Citizenfour is a documentary about Snowden and I thought it was great and it is very highly rated by well, everyone. If you like kind of offbeat true crime I enjoyed "There's Something Wrong With Aunt Diana" although it isn't anything special. I routinely watch HBO documentaries on demand. I love documentaries.

The Hunting Ground - documents the issue or sexual abuse on college campuses with particular emphasis on athletes. The Jamis Winston saga is included.

I have heard Michael Moore's documentary "Where to Invade Next" is great. I am waiting for that to hit On Demand. I will probably watch "Sicko" this weekend.

I agree Citizenfour was excellent. I've never made my mind up about Snowden. Everything I know about classified information tells me he should be charged with espionage, but OTOH there were bigger issues involved with his case that you can argue justifies his action (and some do). This doc gives you the pros and the cons.

I haven't seen Trophy Kids listed, that's a good watch if you want to see wacko, out of control parents trying to live through their kids in sports.

Trophy Kids is seriously messed up when you see how some of these parents drive and treat their kids as well as other people's kids and coaches. These people are really screwed up.

Sicko was fantastic. I know this is not the board to be touting a Michael Moore film, but how can you not love a guy sailing a bunch of 9/11 heroes to Cuba to get medical treatment because they couldn't get it in the United States while the prisoners at Guantanamo get everything they need?

It is a very interesting documentary about the vast differences between our healthcare and the rest of the world's. Eye opening. Unless you are an entrenched partisan unwilling to entertain opposing viewpoints you should find it very provocative which to me is all you can ask for in a good documentary.

Point and Shoot was interesting. I think I liked it because I understood his quest to become a mature adult.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi - I liked it but I honestly can't tell if it's a tribute or mocking food critics.

Fed Up is an eye opener.

How about mockumentary....watch Documentary Now! It's several episodes that parody and are shot in the same style as other famous docs, like Thin Blue Line and The Eagles Documentary

The Jake the Snake doc was great. Even if your not a wrestling fan, it's a very good doc that details the disease of addiction aND the exact behavior of how all addicts minds function.. I work in that field, and everything he does is the same as all addicts on their journey to recovery, from the attempting to take short cuts, the behavioral health aspect, to getting out of his trigger environments, to the continued meetings and therapy programs.

Bill Hader nailed it in their take of Grey Gardens. He is so much like "Little Edie" it's creepy. That whole series was great.
