Which, of course, is another reason that the loss of Hunger hurtsIts an odd article. The author cites a 27-10 advantage with the small ball lineup, specifically citing Beran, Barnhizer, Berry, Audige and Buie as the lineup that was "the catalyst."
As far as I can tell, that lineup didn't play until there was 6 minutes left in the first half, when we had already rallied from an 18-6 deficit to a 27-24 deficit. That lineup then produced a 3-2 segment over the next 1:18, then Collins put Roper in for Buie and NU took the lead with a 5-0 run.
What works is Beran with Barnhizer at the same time, but we have nobody else to play the 4, so Collins is hesitant to pair them.
But what about the leg"Neither Matt Nicholson nor Tydus Verhoeven has the foot speed to hang on a switch"
There it is!!
Lack of depth up front kills this team.Which, of course, is another reason that the loss of Hunger hurts
So muchLack of depth up front kills this team.
Spencer beat us for Rutgers. Hood-Schaffino almost beat us single-handedly for IU. Sensabaugh (forward) killed us for OSU. All 3 guards killed us at Michigan. Not sure I would agree.Lack of depth up front kills this team.
Leg Speed and Foot Speed are two totally different things!!!But what about the legspeed?
That’s because we double on almost all entry passes. Works great when the big man can’t pass, no so great when they can pass.Spencer beat us for Rutgers. Right, but did it decide the game? Dickinson did have 3 assists but he has 2 turnovers. Omoruyi has same. Jackson-Davis had 8 assists yet we won. That’s because we double on almost all entry passes. Works great when the big man can’t pass, no so great when they can pass.
