About 6 months ago, @GlowPoke and I started a new band (yes, still doing DTK occasionally).

I play guitar in this band instead of bass, and we are really wanting to focus on building original material. Might have enough to start working on an actual album soon, which would be the first time in nearly 30 years of playing music I've ever done that. Just in a real hungry musical mindset right now and looking for influences in these kinds of genres.

Best way to describe it - I tend to write very southern rock sounding songs, GlowPoke has a huge blues voice but her interests and influences are more Americana. We have a very good rhythm section, female backing vocalist and a killer lead guitar player (heavily influenced by SRV).

Anyway, I'm wanting to hear new stuff and am looking for new influences. I'm coming across stuff like this so I know there is some killer stuff out there that I haven't seen yet.

Here’s one of the 2 originals we had ready for a show we did last month. Still needs some polish but this is pretty representative of our direction I think

My new musical obsession since 3 nights ago is Kevin Morby. Blues rock (rock blues really)/Americana/Indie rock. Holy hell can he write a song.
