With classes starting on Monday, it means we're right in the window during which the Iowa wrestling rosters are officially updated - and enrollment status(es) confirmed/debunked.

The 2025-26 men's roster has yet to be officially updated, but as Ross Bartachek first reported, Jordan Williams is officially enrolled at Iowa:

So too, are the rest of the top men's transfers/recruits from this offseason (N. Bailey, M. Endene, D. Peterson, L. DeLuca, H. Ludington, etc.)

Meanwhile, on the women's side, this year's roster has officially been updated on the team website:

Women's Wrestling 2025-26 - Iowa Hawkeyes Athletics - Official Athletics Website

Here are several key items of note - namely the apparent return of 4x national runner up Jaycee Foeller (207), along with the departure of All-American Alivia White (4th at 207):

Update:

Danni Swihart tells me she WILL in fact be wrestling at Iowa this year - so apparently the updated team roster isn't quite as 'official' as one would think.

(There were some errors with weights/eligibility upon the initial release last year, but nothing as egregious as omitting a wrestler completely.)

I'm working to get confirmation on the three other unexpected adds/omissions (Djoumessi, Foeller, White) and will update this if/when I hear more.

Was able to confirm with Alivia White that she will indeed be leaving Iowa and is headed back home to Washington state to pursue nursing school.

As for Foeller, she is officially back with the Hawkeyes for a 5th and final year of eligibility thanks to having spent a previous season at NAIA's Central Methodist (MO).

(For you college football fans, this is an extension of the Diego Pavia ruling.)

She'll be in the Sports & Rec. Management graduate program as she looks to finally win an elusive individual national title - having finish runner up in each of the past four seasons across three different schools (McKendree, Central Methodist, Iowa x2).

Just spoke with Kiara Djoumessi as well - completing the fourth and final unknown from today's roster release.

The Waverly Shell-Rock grad will still be attending Iowa this year (as a second-year student), however she will not officially compete as part of the Hawkeye program.

Instead, she'll be training with the Iowa Women's Wrestling Club (IWWC).

I'm not sure if this is partially due to the new 30-person roster limits, but this development does leave the Hawkeye women at an even 30 athletes for the 2025-26 season.

I want to see Valencia finally be able to wrestle...going to be very tough to knock off Jimenez

Same here. I wonder if Emilie G. could still make 103? Otherwise 110 will be quite the battle if everyone is healthy. May have to get creative with some redshirts this year with the new qualifier rules to get the most out of everyone's remaining eligibility.

Word is that she has looked excellent this summer since getting back on the mat.

She's at the top of my list of things to watch entering this season, and I'm hoping to write a feature of some sort before the season gets going in November.

Interesting thought but then you have Dias, Murphy, and Emilie at 103. Sterling was dinged up last year but any of those three could be national champs. There are going to be some very talented wrestlers not competing at the (new) NCAA championship no matter where everyone ends up.

By the way Tanner, thanks for the coverage of the women's team. Not many places to have a conversation about these incredibly talented and dedicated young women. I've had the privilege to meet most of the team and all of the coaches and the character of all of them makes it very easy to cheer for this team and this sport. I also like that there is still a collegiate sport that is truly amateur with all that has been going on in (mostly) men's college sports.

I've wondered the same thing about EG, as well as the overall landscape of roster/eligibility management that you mentioned.

'Traditional' redshirts have been extremely rare in the program's past two official seasons, but perhaps that'll change moving forward.

(There were also apparently some weird redshirt rules that applied to women's wrestling pre-NCAA status, so perhaps that played into Iowa's minimal use of them as well.)

As for 110, I've designated all four athletes with OR's as the prospective starter - but in truth, that merely a reflection waiting to see Valencia back with an extended run of competition.

If she's healthy this season, I fully expect here to grab hold of the spot and have a phenomenal year.

I think I may've expressed this elsewhere previously, but pound for pound I think she could be Iowa's third-best wrestler behind Blades/Welker - which is pretty lofty territory considering some of the other hammers on the 2025-26 roster.

Well, I'm happy to do it - and thank you for the conversation as well!

It's awesome to be able to engage with folks (like yourself) who've either been following along with women's wrestling for a bit or are perhaps being introduced to it for the first time.

(I can assure you that I've compiled just as much research and do just as much prep work for the women's program as I do for the men.)

And I'll second your comments on the staff/athletes. Without exception, they've been a treat to interact with - and I think really relish the opportunity to promote the sport (and their rapidly growing half of it in particular).

Ross Bartachek was first with the Torres news - which I've since confirmed with Torres as well.

Additionally, fellow freshman Paolo Ciatto - a less heralded prospect from New York who committed last fall - will also be greyshirting this year.

That leaves 4/6 remaining Class of 2025 commits who will officially be Hawkeyes this season - Leo DeLuca (125), Leister Bowling IV (165), Tyrel Miller (174/184) and Harvey Ludington (197).
