In Shattel's OWH article today, Charley McBride recounted after a loss to Colorado, Charley received "all these calls from drunks in Western Nebraska" I think that is a perfect name for members of this board at times. Just goes to show you how much Husker fans can not like a guy before declaring him the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I consider Nebraska Football to be my favorite hobby. It's a part of who I am and how I was raised. I treat it like a hobby in the fact that it obviously brings me joy when we win. It's one of the biggest reasons why I went to UNL. When we lose, I am always bummed or pissed that my hobby didn't bring joy in the way I wanted it to that particular day. That's why it's an amazing feeling when championships happen...because you've stuck beside the team as a follower and cheerer of them through the ups and downs.
There are lots of people in our fanbase that don't treat it as a hobby, they treat it like they are literally on the team—like they are somehow a coach or player on the team when in reality they should zip it. Thus is the problem with all major blue blood teams and franchises. People have such an emotional attachment to these kinds of teams and brands that when things go wrong it almost feels like they are owed an explanation or something needs to be done about it immediately.

Anyone who would call coaches, put for sale signs in coaches yards, threaten or harass coaches themselves or families. Serious pathetic losers who have no life. Just sad. Period.
