Here is a fly-through. Looks incredible. Wish they would keep the right field deck, though. They have an area to stand out there, but it won't be the same without the tailgating atmosphere.http://www.ukathletics.com/news/construction-of-new-baseball-stadium-approved-10-20-2016
I read it was going to be closer to Alumni, but don't know much more than that.
Very important news for UK baseball. Mitch Barnhart and Nick Mingione are having a press conference on Monday to discuss it. Will have a story then.
Looks to be pretty awesome. Hopefully it provides an amazing atmosphere for our fans and our team.
Looks like a very nice park. I'm excited about it. I wonder if they designed it so that it can easily be expanded if need be. If the team is competitive and going to the NCAA tournament most years, I think they could use more than 2,400 seats. A lot of people won't want to sit on the berm, especially in March and April on cool, damp, days. It would be nice if they could expand to 3,500 seats or so without having tear stuff out and rebuild.
I don't think they have to worry about not having enough seats on cool, damp days with 2400. If they do, great problem to have. Looks to me it's designed to easily add more seats along outfield foul lines. JMO. Is there plenty of cheap parking?
Big step for UK baseball, this will help the program tremendously. This will stop a lot of negative recruit speak from our opponents.

@Derek Terry correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I read the capacity is 4000 but could be expanded to 6000 for NCAA games

Agree, he fought the good fight, and won over 700 games in the toughest place to win in the SEC !
Wonder who the major donor is? I know MB said they had 30 mil from the JMI bonus deal and borrowed 7 mil for incindental stuff..

Wow only 50 million for a 2400 seat stadium! Cmon. Way too much money for a non revenue 2400 seat baseball field.
Think the school is only paying like $6.5 million for it or something along those lines. A lot of the funds are coming from other places.
