Jackson, Kennard, Jones, Tatum & Jefferson. Go big with Chase or Giles. Frank is J-Will with height.

Luke's development leap negates losing Grayson for a few games. GA comes back and is the first guard off the bench while dealing with hostile road crowds.

As Adam Sandler would say, "Not to Shabby!"

That's a good lineup for sure. With more time and opportunity, Frank may really flourish.

Harry is already being groomed for extensive time. Marques is the x-factor here. Harry and Jayson can give some perimeter help if Ques can show he's ready to help Amile.

Amile has also shown an ability to drive from the outside. Of all the losses as crazy as it is to say, we can absorb this. The problem is, when Grayson is great, he is truly great and championship level great. It's a shame.

I agree Marques is the x-factor but I feel like he is lost in space at the moment.

Obviously a terrible situation and none of us could be happy losing a player as talented as Grayson. The only positive that could come of this is that we might be able to figure out how to factor our frontcourt significantly more in the rotation. We have one of our more talented frontcourts that we've had in recent seasons and we really need to get it on track in order to reach our full potential.

I'm guessing duke didn't do a great job preparing for Elon. Bolden came in early and I'm guessing was expected to play a lot more minutes. Their center hit 2 quick 3s on him then he was out and done for the day. You see his talent in warmups very clear, does he have the fire and desire for the actual games is my question?

Moving forward I think you'll see Giles play more 5 vs bigs that can stretch it, vs power teams you'll see more bolden at the 5 with Giles and then Giles also spelling Jefferson some.

I sent you a direct message. Not sure if you saw it.

I would like to see Frank, Luke, Jayson, Amile and Chase.

I'm a huge Matt fan, but I think he can be brought in if Frank or Jayson can't handle an assignment. I liked what Chase showed earlier in the season and thought we played better with him in there. If anything, he takes some pressure and attention away from Amile. Then Giles can step into Chase's spot when up to speed.

You have Giles, Bolden, and Matt to put in, with Jack and Javin too.

I sort of like this lineup as well and I'm a Matt supporter- sucks we have to clarify that these days.

I leave Matt in the starting lineup with Frank coming off the bench because with Tatum, Kennard and Jefferson you don't need another scorer so Matt can continue to play solid defense. Allow Jackson, Giles and Bolden to come off the bench.

Frank needs to shoot less and distribute more. Get into the lane and look to make plays. Frank is not a good shooter, but he can be a playmaker if he chooses to be imo.

I'd go:

Luke
Tatum
Matt
AJ
Jeter

Bring Frank and Giles off the bench. If we need another big, put Vrank in. Give JD some spot minutes here and there. Sit Bolden until he decides to run up and down the court.

I think Frank is a great shooter. He doesn't hit right now like he will when he realizes it's okay to turn it loose. Got a sweet 3.

I think Frank is a pretty average shooter. That's not a knock on him because there's nothing wrong with average, I just don't think it's his offensive strength.

Just my opinion but in order for Duke to win it all come March Matt Jones is going to have to come off the bench and see limited minutes, primarily as a defensive upgrade at the end of games. His offense is just not good. Frank Jackson needs to see an increase in minutes with Grayson out and hopefully he will play well enough that K will realize he is the better option over Matt. Duke's best lineup to make a deep run is Frank, Grayson, Luke, Jayson, and Amile. Have fun stopping that with Giles, Bolden, and Matt off the bench. If Giles were to become the player everyone expects in the next couple months Duke is going to be really, really good.

The best line up or the most talented players...

I think the best line up has Duke more traditional with 2 bigs, Tatum, Luke and Matt

Frank, and the other bigs coming off the bench.

switch Frank for Matt for the most talented players without Grayson

Frank, Luke, Matt, Jayson, Amile. When Grayson returns, there'll be a decision to make about who comes off the bench. Whoever it was we played after that loss to UK last year, Grayson had played badly and he came off the bench and played really well. Maybe coming off the bench is something that Grayson would reintegrate well into. It sure seems like pressure has gotten to him, so not starting would force some of that off of him.

And oh, no! What if Harry or Ques makes a huge leap forward and we have difficult decisions to make about who starts?!?1? What ever will we doooooooooo?!?!?1?

Now: Frank, Luke, Matt, Jayson, Amile.

March: Frank, Luke, Jayson, Harry, Amile.

Would love to see Harry become the player he is projected to be. If he does, how do you leave him off the court??
Also would love to see Grayson embrace an off-the-bench assasin role. I honestly think his scoring punch would be more valuable off the bench. Our starters (Luke and Jayson mainly) can provide plenty of scoring.

Love Matt and think he is extremely valuable for us even when he scores zero. I believe he can serve best as a defensive specialist off the bench (when we have a fully healthy roster.)
