...On the R&R Show Monday afternoon, Rutherford made passing mention to a newspaper story several years ago in Little Rock, Arkansas. The upshot was supposedly that Petrino was planning to adapt his offense away from what he had been running, the pure dropback, power spread stuff. I think I heard Mike say that Petrino had already started recruiting offensive players to fit more into that scheme prior to his demise at Arkansas.
I don't recall hearing or reading that before, and I was wondering if anyone was familiar with that newspaper account. As much speculation as there is in this space about Petrino and his offense, it would help to have something in B&W to settle the debates.
