With the offensive haul of coaches being let go yesterday, performance reasons aside, I'm curious if the moves were made in part to allow the new OC a say in who might come with him? Is that common or no? It would make sense for an OC to want some cohesion with his offensive philosophy and position coaches

The Delusion of this board amazes me, it's relentless.

It really doesn't matter who he hires....the people that are acting like spoiled little girls now will act like spoiled little girls when Frost announces his hires.

What was “delusion” about his question?
He didn’t say the question was delusional. He wrote, “The Delusion of this board amazes me. It’s relentless.” He is correct in what he wrote because it is delusional to think there will be significant changes/improvement with new offensive coaches and Frost transitioning into a CEO type of head coach. It is delusional thinking because Scott Frost is the problem. He has already shown he has no interest in the tough jobs of a head coach like attention to detail, discipline, roster management and recruiting.
The position that Scott Frost is the least qualified for is CEO type head coach.

Disagree. A smart OC hire could save his head coaching career.

Dabo became a great HC when he hired elite coordinators. Our D is in a good spot. If he hits on the OC hire, things will get better.

Disagree. Whowever he hires will always be the wrong hire to the spoiled little girls on this board.

@antirowboat 's Definition of smart - whoever antirowboat thinks is a good fit. ha ha ha Wishbone, triple option guy from Army

The new OC is going to have one off season to make the necessary adjustments to the offense. Starting from scratch probably isn't going to happen. Frost cant afford for this not to work. It is going to be someone in the same vein of offense that is currently being run. The triple option guys can have the team in 2023, if Frost doesn't fix the mess in 2022.
