what players should we put in now to gain experience for next year?
Coleman seems like one..what about the 3rd string qb?

Maybe I’m harder on Coleman than I need to be, but, I don’t ever seeing that kid doing anything in football, he was a talent who doesn’t have the heart for it. As a comparison, Barney is a freshman who came in and is our best wideout, mostly because you can tell that kid loves football. Makes a difference

This season is lost because the upperclassmen haven’t been able to do ****.

If we’re going to lose anyways, put in the younger players instead and get them some in game experience. Put the under-performers on the bench!
A lot of truth here they seem to have a losing mentality..But man is Satterfield is worst thing hurting this team with his questionable play calling.

Yes Satterfield is certainly a terrible game day coordinator and most likely terrible through out the week. We can all see that.

If not fired all together, he needs to be relieved of play calling and OC. Like I said, we will most likely lose the remaining games and not go bowling. Give someone else an audition at least for next year.

Nobody. Change the play caller and sit our banged up gun shy freshman QB. Haarberg’s legs and play action passing are probably our best bet to win another game. Raiola has multiple injuries and clearly is afraid to get hit. Sit him and let him watch and heal.

Let's keep Kaelin away from this mess. We don't need a 2nd freshman QB getting his brains beat in and losing his confidence.

Why is it that some of these Nebraska kids do better going elsewhere? There's no doubt in my mind that Coleman would be playing well at somewhere like Iowa State just like the Brahmer kid from Pierce.

New play caller for sure and a revamped play sheet. For the USC game only, bring back the option and run it at least a half dozen times. Haarberg isn't good at running the option but it should still work if these guys can execute it.

The announcers mentioned yesterday that Nebraska’s offensive lineman were telegraphing the plays, when it was a run they’d have their hands on the ground and when it’s a psss they didn’t, geez that a really smart oc , heck you learned that in jr high football playing defense the coach would say watch the lineman lots of times they will lean just a little to the right and the play would go to the right side and vise versa . Can’t believe we have that inept coaching

Agreed. Kaelin might be the guy one day, but I don’t think he’s even close to being ready for Big Ten play as a true frosh.

at the start of the year, I said we need to use hh in order to keep raiola healthy...I pointed to the fact we were on our 3rd qb in prior years..nobody listened and now we got raiola grabbing his back...

this seems all a too common theme..

our white longhaired linebacker, can't remember his name right now...he seems a day late and a dime short on many plays...do we have a young speedster to replace him..or at least get some reps?

the saterfeild problem will be addressed at the end of the year in a review..so it's just spinning wheels right now barking about that...
instead perhaps we can think ahead and start shoring things up before they become a problem...like I mentioned about qb's...and nobody listened till, disaster...

If DR leaves the Danny Dimes Kaelin is the guy to roll with next year. We don’t need to be trotting him out there this year with a team that is crash landing and ruining his mindset.

with nil, qb's will be need to be at the ready when needed..usc, wis, iowa, these are all mid level teams which a qb like Kaelin could see valuable reps with...he can still red shirt and gain real game experience...then we ain't left with out shorts down if raiola has injury or bolts.

Let him play against Iowa when we are down 42-3 in the 3rd quarter.

I agree but that's gonna make some of the locals mad. Some of those underperforming guys are some fan favorites and for whatever reason our fans can't separate liking a player but knowing they are playing ****** and need to sit.

now that hh has a rocket arm, we could have him throw fast balls at receiver then run stuff from last year too....

Rhule pulled out a play sheet and they started scoring and moving the ball...I think he sits down and "helps" Satt score enough to keep his job.
