The 2021 Modern-Era Player Finalists with their positions, years and teams:
My understanding is they will elect up to 5. With that in mind my best guess for this class is:
Peyton Manning- 1st Ballot no-brainer
Charles Woodson- 1st Ballot no-brainer
Calvin Johnson- 1st Ballot no-brainer
Alan Faneca- Long overdue. Been a finalist 6 times, 9 time Pro Bowler and 6 times All-Pro
John Lynch- Also overdue. 8 time finalist.
I think the whole list is deserving. Shame that the max is 5. I think Drew Pearson also makes it in the Coach/Contributor/Senior category over Tom Flores and Bill Nunn. All 3 of those also should be in at some point, too.
