I've watched my last NFL game until the owners do something about the BS when the National Anthem is played. Served my country, so I'm sure not going to watch these selfish idiots disrespect the USA and our Flag. If fans would boycott any team that has one of these idiots not honoring the National Anthem, then this **** would stop. Screw them!

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

Think I'll record one of the late games on Saturday night and watch it on Sunday. So tired of this NFL crap.

Still no comment from the NFL on that POS kapernick wearing pig police socks.

Seriously people stand up. Stop watching the NFL. It's overrated anyway.

Quit watching them seriously about 25 years ago, may watch Cobb for part of a game IF nothing else is going on. Has to be a UK player playing for me to give them the time of day.

Well I finally agree with jauk. Don't tell anyone.

I'm the same and my father only watches for Cobb. I'm done doing that now. Seriously if NFL fans allow this and don't respond at all, they aren't Americans. Sports is not more important than self respect.

For the win, the federal credit union has dropped their sponsorship of Branden Marshal for his disgraceful kneeling during the national Anthem. We need more of this.

For all those asking why there wasn't a boycott movement for domestic violence, drugs, animal abuse etc? That's a ridiculous comparison on so many levels, starting with the obvious. I failed to see marshal or kapernick or any nlf player for that matter protest those incidences? I didn't see the NFL do anything but try and cover it up actually.

#boycottnfl, And anyone who agrees with this slimy low down "protest".

Folks need to realize that the hippies who were anti-USA in the 60's are the ones running the country now. Why anyone is shocked at the state of our country is beyond me.
These were the folks burning flags and spitting on brave soldiers returning home from war.
They have influenced the universities and schools for years now.

Absolutely Sickening. Our country has been taken over by traitors who HATE America.

To be honest, I hate the way America is between everyone being over sensitive and our government being full of self serving evil douche bags, BUT, that flag and our National Anthem to me is more about all the awesome men and women that have fought for the rights that we do have, and doing anything but standing and acknowledging it is disrespectful to our troops, and anyone that doesn't respect them deserves a swift hard kick to the crotch.

They did respond. They said that they didn't support he message that he was trying to convey. But unfortunately there are no rules against what players can wear at practice.....that's more of a team rule thing. So, it's the 49er organization that has to respond there.

Now, the NFL does have strict rules about uniforms during games.....which is why Avery is not allowed to do what he wanted to do.

On a side note, as a Titans fan I stay up-to-date on team information. If there's a benefit, or charity event, or public service being done, Avery is there. The guy is everywhere. Simply a class act and a great guy. Last time we talked I made it a point to tell him such. We should be so proud of him as a UK representative, a professional player, and as a young man.

How can we stand for the national anthem when NFL football players beat their girlfriends and wives? Disgraceful.

What gets me about the Kap situation is that I view it as misplaced rage. Kap has said that he's protesting the oppression of black people and that cops get paid leaves of absence...etc. The thing is that "America" doesn't oppress blacks. Sub-groups of American people oppress. America the country is the poster-child where people can live the "American Dream".....where you can become POTUS.....or you can make up >50% of NFL players (many of which will be millionaires).

Now certainly racism exists. It's waaaaaay better than it was (in general) than it was 50 yrs ago but it still exists. It exists in the minds of smaller groups in America. It's hardly the representation of the whole populace. It is these groups that Kap should protest.....and for good reason. Instead he's trying to protest the very entity that's trying to support his cause.

No, folks need to realize the uptight fascist, anything for money people are running the country. Everything and everyone must look the same. That's exactly why the NFL has these rules. All shoes must be the same. All socks must be the same. Same, same, same. How can we market our league to Nike if that 911 tribute distracts from their swoosh? Everything the NFL does is with the thought of "how do we make money from this"?

And they can get the dumbest of you people to completely blame anyone else. Hippies? There's not a hippie within a million miles of the NFL corporate offices that made this decision.

Funny how Kap never gave an ish until he became irrelevant in the league. Reminds of the desperate acts for attention the little pop singers do when the radio stops playing their music and their 15 minutes of fame starts to fade.

And I say this because there are SO many more constructive ways to go about this. We've even got a US Womens soccer player doing it because of how gays are treated or something of the like. A real protest would've been to not wear that jersey and decline her spot on the national roster if she had such an issue with the US but of course that never happenned.

Desperate attention grabs by washed up players that support agendas that the pc police force the public to be sympathetic to.

Supporters for 9/11, veterans, police, people of faith don't fit the bill because when they're wronged they won't protest, riot, or even burn down the NFL front office all the while virally claiming victimization all over the media.

The NFL sucks and things like this are going to cost them a bunch of fans. Do they not realize how much of their fan base consists of people living in "flyover country" that tend to be patriotic and support the notion of law and order in society?

The NFL is limited in ways it can punish it's employees who are members of the NFLPA. They have a CBA they must abide by, so as an employer, their ability to discipline is limited to the confines of what their CBA allows.

Saw today one of the Giants WR was going to wear specially made shoes for 9/11. Why ok for him but not for AW?
