thank God football is almost here! If you're in reds country the slow and painful death of the 2016 reds can't end soon enough. That being said how does your team look this year? Of course I'm a bengals fan. That being said I think we will be good but not an 8-0 start good. Having our first pick Jackson out for the yr doesn't hurt terribly since we pretty well set at db. I'm pissed that we lost billings he is and will be a stud when healthy to do so. My biggest concern is the new receiving core with Sanu and jones gone and now relying primarily on rookies. The bengals schedule is murders row this year especially the first four out the gate. I would love to see 11-5 but I'd settle for 10-6 if we get to the playoffs and actually win a game this year. What does your team look like and what do you predict?

I just hope this doesn't turn into a Steelers/Bengals ****-slinging fest like it does every year, and we can talk about any of the other 28 teams

But above all, I hope that Pats lose..

Lol I think we can all agree on that. The 2nd game of the year the bengals play the steelers which will be a hell of a game even though burfict isn't playing. I think Carolina will be really tough again. I'm glad Denver won it all this year only for Peyton but id be lying if I didn't say I was glad to watch them fall into obscurity again. I think another team that may make a little noise is buffalo

Cowboys fan here (I am 48, been a fan since I was 5 I did not know what bandwagon was in the 70's)

Offense is going to be elite, defense is going to be elite on the bad side. Pretty up for grabs division, maybe, just maybe Romo can make it through the year, if not, hey the Dak era can begin early. 10-6 if not win the East, a wildcard. Then, take it one game at a time. Love Elliot, Morris, and McFadden trio, of course Dez, but now he has a more seasoned Cole Beasley and Terrance Williams is looking like a 2WR after a couple off years, and we have a few young guys who are talented. Lucky Whitehead is a play maker.

Defense has a lot of the same characteristics the UK defense does. Stout secondary, meh linebackers, and lots of questions in the front 4 with suspensions and injuries. Now that I think about UK and Dallas are very similar, great offense, ****** defense, blinds are all ready pulled half way, but I do have them cracked a bit.

I'm anxious to see what train wreck Cleveland is going to be this year. Hiring hue Jackson and firing Ray farmer were good ideas. We shall find out if the redskins screwed up and gruden should be canned or rg3 will flop like a fish

Jags will have a top 10 defense.. Pair that with Bortles maturation and the Allens, and you might be looking at a playoff team. especially in the wide open AFC south

Raiders will have a top 10 offense. Derek Carr should have another really good year, and they have one of the best pass rushers in the NFL in Mack. Also another division that's wide open out here in the AFC west.

If Cowboys stay healthy they will win 10+ games.

I know patriots have won the AFC east since the beginning of time, but don't be surprised if Jets win it this year. I could see the patriots starting the season 1-3 without Tom

Tennessee has the "exotic smash mouth" which I'm extremely interested to watch.

F It.. I'll just predict every division winner

NFC W - Seattle
NFC N - Green Bay
NFC E - Dallas
NFC S - Falcons

AFC W - Chiefs
AFC N - Bengals
AFC E - Jets
AFC S - Colts

Pretty much a lock the Bengals will lose their one and only playoff game again. This is all I have to say about the NFL.

I'm excited to see how the AFC East plays out. Pats usually steamroll that division, but they are definitely gonna hang two or more Ls during Brady's 4-game suspension. That may be enough for my Jets, or maybe the Bills to grab the division.

Browns fan here, always have been always will be. I don't live and die by them (I'd be dead if I did). Interested to see how things go with the new staff and additions.

Would love for this to be a year where some team comes out of nowhere and reaches the SuperBowl...raiders maybe??? Just get tired of the usual suspects being in the hunt every year...need some variety.

Unless the Pats get healthy quick, I'm gonna make a bold prediction that they never become a threat for the Superbowl. Already mediocre O-line, that's now very injured, spells trouble for an already-aging Brady.. Dion Lewis out for 2 months. Nink with a torn tricep, out for first quarter of season, Edelman with another foot-injury..

I believe the last eight Super Bowls have all been won by different teams. I'm not sure how much more variety you can have.

While it's been nice to see 8 teams win since 2009.. if you go back starting from 2001, there have only been 10 different teams to win. Not to mention, when you add in their opponents.. only 16 teams have made it TO the superbowl since 2001.

Found this interesting.. How many teams have won the Superbowl..
Since 1997: 11 teams
since 1993: 13 teams
Since 1987: 14 teams

Honestly though, I think that's a pretty good variation.

To me, that's still a lot. I mean, that's half the league in 15 years making the Super Bowl.

I agree.. I think that's pretty legit. Although one stat doesn't look great. Only 43% of the league won the superbowl in the past 30 years.

More interesting than anything, I guess.

Been a Lions fan since Barry Sanders. After watching our two best players ever retire early because Detroit never could manage to field a quality enough team to not kill them I am done.

Go Titans! Really like an up and coming talented team. We'll see how it goes but I got tickets in October for Tennessee/Cleveland.

Really like a lot of naturally bad teams to improve this year.

I'm not a fan or follower of the Raiders, but they have a nice young core group...could make a good playoff run, no?

I'm extremely excited about the coming Titan season....which is weird since I fully expect a losing record. I'm thinking 6-7 wins is about right. I really like what GM J-Rob has done overall so far. I didn't like the Mularkey hiring but I understand it....sorta.

We now have an indentity on offense and it's right up my alley. Defense was ranked 12th last yr....and that was without an offense and without Lebeau running the ship. Now we have an offense, Lebeau's sole directing, and improved depth/personnel. So there's potential for a top 10 defense. I don't think it will end up top 10 because the rest of the division improved a lot.

We also have a nice collection of youthful talent on the team which is a nice foundation to build on in the coming yrs. Not to mention we should have a fair salary cap and draft picks next yr.

Oakland could absolutely be a playoff team. The problem is the AFC is stacked right now.

New England
Pitt
Cinci
Denver
KC

Seem to be the teams to beat with San Diego as a solid team and the AFC South champ too.

Re: Titans

Their offense will be capable of staying on the field so that could help their defense big time. They have the set up of a contender, but like you said they are young and will have a losing season but you'll be able to see a future and it could be very bright!

Can't wait for Crazyq's thread after the Bengals' first loss.
Crazyq83 is by far the best nfl football poster we have here. As pissed as I was when the bengals lost in typical bengals fashion crazys meltdown made it easier to get over especially when someone would challenge him on something about the game lol

I said earlier hiring Jackson was a great hire not because he came from the bengals but what he has done with qbs in general from Carson to Andy. He's also a very respectable coach that his players say they would run through a brick wall for. I hope the Browns do well this year except for two games of course. Getting rid of Ray farmer was an excellent decision since he was a big part of the problem. I want to see what rg3 can do when given the reigns finally and not having someone challenging his job. I think hue will make him a very good qb. He started off on the right foot by basically telling the Browns I'll take the jobs but manziels *** has got to go. I hated him and it was like Christmas morning when he got his first start in Cleveland against the bengals. Everytime he got sacked they would throw up his signature money sign. I would of hated him had the bengals drafted him as well he was such a douchebag that took the promising talent he showed in college for granted. It won't be long before he's arrested and broke. You would think 22 million would be plenty but you've seen how guys spend money that are pros. Lastly, keep josh Gordon as far away from him as possible. If you can do that rg3 and Gordon could be a serious deadly combo

Lifelong Bengals fan. Going into the season the same way I always do: Cautiously optimistic but I know the year is going to end one of two ways: They'll suck or they'll make the playoffs and choke first game. Hopefully this year is different in the latter category.

I hate Pittsburgh and Baltimore. I don't mind Cleveland except for 2 weeks a year.

Curious to see who comes out of the AFC-S. Indy reclaim their throne? Texans repeat? Jags or Titans step up? Looks wide open.

Hope the Pats go 0-4 without Brady and 0-12 with him.

Interested in how long it takes me to quit calling the Rams "St. Louis" because they were in STL for a decade before I quit calling them "L.A."

^I too wonder about the AFC South. Definitely one of the most improved divisions over the last yr. And it appears to be fairly wide open. Another interesting aspect are the QBs. It "could" be a division with 4 franchise QBs all under the age of 26. Your could have 10-12 yrs or more of all 4 teams beating the crap out of each other.

*PS, I don't believe that Osweiler is a franchise QB. Luck is a definite. Bortles and Mariota have appeared promising. To me Os looks like he has potential to be a good QB but that's about it.*

So far I like Jackson and like what he did in Cincy. RG3....I'm in a wait and see approach. He just doesn't seem to be able to be consistent. It's either great from him or horrible. Never was a Johnny M fan and was pissed when they drafted him. Love the idea of two huge targets to throw to on the outside.

Well my fear where cemented last night. Romo has no chance of playing 16 games. But,,, Dak.

Elliott looked as advertised, just keep him out of weed shops. Never schedule Seattle again, or any other city that has cush dispensaries. Dude ran hard, and over people. Funny when Chancellor was talking ****, then Dallas ran Elliott to the left, Chancellor squared up, EE straight trucked him.

Jackson was on my list to be HC in Tennessee but alas..... I think he could be a really good coach but I think Cleveland has front office/owner issues. As a Tennessee fan I know what that looks like.....unfortunately.
