How wealthy are the Rooneys anyway, compared with Joe Average NFL Owner?
According to this list, 28th out of 32 team owners with the two unknowns listed last. Which I'm guessing actually makes them 30th out of 32 team owners.

The Sports Authority should start eliminating games and even tenants that don't generate enough gate receipts if they want an above average Steeler fan and player experience.

I think this is a better barometer than owner wealthiness.

Cheapskate owners must be a Pittsburgh thing.
They were always this bad. As older Rooney's passed, the level of commitment to the players has gone down. The field/locker rooms are crappy but there is no reason for the weight room and dining areas to be so bad.

How so? How many checks can a theoretical valuation write?
None of these owners make improvements out of pocket. When I want to borrow money I can get an appraisal on my house. That is a theoretical valuation.
If you were smart, you would blackmail your local municipality into paying for your home improvements based on how valuable you are to the community.
Heinz Field opened in 2001, and already is so outdated. What's more is that many NFL teams like the Browns, Bears, Bills, Chiefs and Titans are building new palaces that are going to make Heinz Field look like a glorified high achool stadium, and that doesn't even include places like SoFi and the Vikings' stadium which already are open.
When it comes time for that organization to pander for a new stadium, it definitely should be built in Cranberry or Southpointe, either of which is accessible from many highways and also has land to build a prime practice facilty. However, knowing that organization, they'll settle for another cheap place like Heinz Field somewhere in congested downtown Pittsburgh, where you have to park miles away.

This practice facility makes Rooney an unserious owner. Can't believe the family name is even on it.
During the 2024 season, the Hard Knocks series focused on the AFC North division for the entire season. I couldn't believe what the Ravens' practice facility looked like; it resembled a ritzy country club.

As long as the Rooney goofballs cling to their clownish ideas the Steelers will continue to stink.
