No, at this point, it’s not. That how far the program has fallen. Even crazy ideas are better than the status quo. That guy built a competent staff, recruited talent that led to success in game day and has done it for less money. PF has nothing on him in the last couple seasons and the future isn’t bright.

could be a potential replacement for Fitz down the line. Definitely a better coach right now.

No thank you. Last time we hired someone who beat us, it was Randy Walker and then Mick McCall. I know there are those who will defend those hires, but I'm one to say no thank you, we ought to do better.

And of course now you have Adam Cushing having beat us. And I don't think anyone wants to see him coaching back in Evanston ever again.

Fitz is not going anywhere for a few more years. If he were to leave for the NFL or something, I would love to see the faces of the college football world of we hired Prime.

OMG I'm chuckling just thinking about that... "And this just us in, some surprising news from Evanston...." LOL.

That said Fitz seat will only get hot if this continues for a few more years, Want proof? See Carmody, See Collins. Not even worth talking about.

Disagree. Randy Walker won us a B1G championship, brought the program to a level of consistency, introduced the larger college football world to the spread. and hired & mentored Fitz. Walk was an excellent hire except for the Wheeler tragedy.

McCall was a good OC for 6-7 seasons before things got… predictable. Still, he was good for a while.

He's under contract through 2030. I doubt he will be sacked before the end of the 2028 season with a salary of >$5 million/year.....the buy-out would be prohibitive.

Nobody in their right mind could want Fitz gone! We need adjustments big time in offensive and defensive schemes, but Fitz is the only one who can make the necessary changes. Hopefully the lightbulb will go on for him soon or this team rallies and turns 2022 into an acceptable season. He is a GREAT ambassador for NU!!!

Walker was also cathartic for the program after Barnett's dalliances

But you can strip hiring decisions, add an associate head coach, things that will blow up PFs but head and cause him to resign.

Yup, a symbol of mediocrity and believing he is the smartest guy in the room. Currently, so good, we have zero local or national media coverage. Even from our alum.
