Nick Petrino coaching WRs is a joke

If this is the same Nick Petrino that I'm thinking of...... The one who played QB at Trinity and also went to Georgetown College for a short bit to play QB then I know him exactly and had many encounters with him..... If this is the Nick Petrino that Jody Demling is claiming who coached the WRs instead of Lamar Thomas then I'll call his bluff. Nick Petrino is an idiot and if he's coaching them up then any idiot can coach then..... Thats a joke and I would challenge Jody Demling to the moon and back on that....

It's the same guy. Pretty asinine of Louisville fans to actually believe that Nick Petrino is coaching wide receivers.

It really shouldn't be a surprise. UL fans are idiots. Seeing their stupid comments about Lamar and Nick Petrino reminds me why I hate that fan base.

Went to UL site and simply asked if NP would be the official WR coaching hire since they say he was the coach of the WR's...Steelers2012 did what he always does...deletes the post.

That ain't happening because Bobby Petrino knows the truth on that. Its absolutely crazy... If you guys met Nick Petrino then you wouldn't believe he's coaching WRs either. I think even if UofL fans met Nick Petrino they would call Jody Demling's bluff on that one. Seriously....

So let me get this straight from our visiting moron tard fans:
1. Thomas didn't coach WRs even though he was the WR coach.
2. Nick "DUI " Petrino, a grad assistant, was the real genius who coached the WRs while Thomas sat around and stewed about it.
3. Thomas was basically a recruiter but actually didn't do that much recruiting except bring their QB to the ghetto commuter school.
4. Even though Nick "DUI" Petrino was the real coach coaching the WRs, instead of giving him the title of WR coach, the tards will go ahead and look for a WR coach to replace Thomas. Presumably, as a WR coach in name only, since Petrino will continue his wizardry as the true WR coach as a graduate assistant.

It is a badge you earn. I got banned for saying Pitino looked rough and that the stress was getting to him. When my ban was lifted his boyfriend Zipp was verbally attacking everyone, and nobody said you could not post videos of people pushing old ladies into a pool when asked for evidence. I was told I should not have responded back and it was my fault. I asked why their posters could attack, insult, and use profanity with no repercussions and I was told because it is a U of L board. I was told for my actions I had earned a ban for a week by questioning the mod. That was when I told Steelers he could lift my ban when he took Zipps testicles out of his mouth - still banned so I guess they are still a couple :D

Yea Steelers just permabanned me....you are probably correct about Zipp and Steelers and their closeness.

That site is a slow graveyard anyways....Steelers is a douche hypocrite, he did things over here that he bans people for now.

Being a mod cannot be fun I am sure, and I think if you have one set of rules that is fine. When you literally ban fans from other schools simply because they don't post "Pitino is the greatest" that makes zero sense. As far as Zipp even their posters don't like. Just a bitter, crusty old man with some bad stuff reportedly in his past with the locals. He is so obsessed with UK he literally includes us in every post constantly trying to get others to agree with him that UK only beats them because we treat them like the Super Bowl, Cal is cheating, UK cheats, they should drop us because we hurt their basketball SOS... Funny thing is that karma has a funny way of finding people and don't think that Pitino, Petrino, Jurich, and U of L are not tasting it now.

I can understand rivalries and not liking one another, but I can see past that and understand their BB programs history and their place in college hoops. My lack of respect for them has only to do with the fact that their athletic program is lead by a man with zero values or character all of which are easily noted - when you have a program where your coaches commit the transgressions they do without impunity, operate in a way that makes your program more of a brothel than athletics, and has dirty dealings in business and recruiting I rest my case. Would never let anyone I know go to school there - honesty what positives could you come up with?

True being a mod is something I wouldn't want....but Steelers has maybe 10-15 posters most of the time.....The Zipp guy is just a vile person, but you maybe right he and Steelers maybe dating or something....They really fit the mantra of UL athletics actually...filth.

We do have some good UL posters on here that I respect.

I am close friends with someone in the Louisville media. We were talking tonite about the Thomas hire and he personally told me that "Demling always tries to blow things out of proportion". He rolled his eyes as he was telling me this.

I've heard of "homers" but seriously...

Zipp does manage plenty of amusement. One of his latest gems- Louisville and not UK is the flagship university of the state. Among his reasons is the fact that Louisville is the state's largest metropolitan area. By Zipp logic, Cleveland St. and not Ohio St. should be the flagship university of Ohio, and Wayne St. and not the University of Michigan should be the flagship university of Michigan.

Also, Louisville is UK's superbowl game. Not in football, which would be ridiculous enough, but in basketball.

And one more- he really, really likes Honest Bob. Not just as a coach, which would be understandable since Honest Bob is a legitimately solid coach. No, his slobbering is personal, and he STILL hates Mike Zimmer for one comment that Zimmer made against Petrino nearly 10 years ago, and a comment which was universally considered absolutely justified by the entire sports world.

These latest gems are just what I've read in the past few weeks or so, and I probably only peruse about 10% of the overall filth posted at that cesspool board in the first place.

Demling is amongst the worst homers I've ever seen. It was embarrassingly bad when he was working for the C-J covering recruiting. When Strong was hired and went on a recruiting roll early with several good commitments, including then highly touted QB Demarcus Smith, he flat out did not report Then highly touted TE Jon Davis' commitment to UK. Clear bias as he didn't want to report anything that might detract from the Louisville media hype at the time. That's just one, clear example. He cannot report objectively on anything involving UK. He's much better suited for a fan website.

I have seen that and he sounds like a politician with his comments. Constantly states the same thing over and over - LPT, we are their Super Bowl, Pitino Lite... Guess he thinks people will follow the old German WWII philosophy of if you say something enough times people will believe you. Hilarious thing is nobody but him says LPT - guess he was hoping he would get credit for it like "little brother" that has stuck so well it kills him/them.

As far as being their Super Bowl and U of L should drop UK because it does nothing for them here is an original idea - win a game against us more than once a decade. U of L wanting to drop us in hoops is like Wake Forest trying to drop Duke or Carolina in hoops. Maybe of U of L won something more than exposure for sexual misconduct at a restaurant or Minardi Hall they would have a point. Pretty bad when your program belongs in Hustler magazine more than Sports Illustrated.

I can't recall that any of his posts were even close to being ban-worthy. However, since he apparently is a hanging judge at his own site, then what's good for the goose is good for gander. Give him the same treatment that he gives us- summary ejection.

I got banned a few years ago myself, but I am not bitter about it. I earned my ban. I can't believe that I lasted as long as I did; about 20 posts and 3 or 4 flame wars that I started, before I finally got tossed.

I'm not defending UL, I was being a smart a$$ because one person said he didn't coach and another said that they were forced to let him. Never mind, maybe a bad attempt at humor. BTW, you have never heard me defend UL. You have heard me criticize unreasonable criticism of our opponents, whoever they may be. I hate UL too. I just think we spend too much time trying to make them look bad and not enough time trying to be better ourselves. A different philosophy I suppose.

It's a chess match that I like. It's about talent we are all in Ohio and we are now all in Florida. Gran has a relationship with Thomas that has connections in south Florida. I really don't think it was about taking a coach from UL but getting a assistant coach he wanted. It doesn't make me sad that UL is butt hurt.

I am not going to say how much coaching Thomas was doing. No doubt he was involved if nothing else for his playing experience but his primary role was recruiting. Remember he is not a very experience coach. Petrino hired him from Hampton college at WKU so he has 3 years D-1 experience and was one on the lower paid UL assistants. He may be a great pick up for you guys.

With that said Graduate assistants do a lot of hands on coaching in college and media members seem to agree that Nick Petrino was doing much of the hands on WR coaching. You guys who may have know him from Trinity that was 10 years ago when he was QB for back to back state titles. No doubt he has matured from his HS days just like most of us have. Not sure what his size has do with coaching ability? After all Bobby Petrino was a short undersized Div II QB and he learned to coach from his dad. Seems to have worked out well.

UL has two open spots on the football staff. Be interesting to see if Bobby promotes Nick but my guess is with Scott and Smith both young coaches learning the ropes he may go for a more experienced recruiter this time.
