And people still think it is easy to get to Omaha. You can have the best hitting, best pitching, best defense, and somedays, it is just not your day.
Horrible day. ULL fans all had on old faded red tee shirts and big mouths. Good team though.
An inexcusable disgrace. Probably we were like this Tennessee bunch: we thought we were invincible at home.
I know of worse. Try being 3-0 in the World Series, only needing to beat your arch rival one out of two, only to get beaten both games. And if that’s not bad enough, only to see your arch rival win it all.
Only OUR failures register with me. Only THOSE hurt. Hurt is more impactful than pleasure. We won the CWS, eh? Well, isn't that what we were there for?
Couldn’t happen to a better bunch of fans. It’s built over a slagtite & stalagmite formation. Add water & it sinks into the Earth It happened when their natatorium sprung a leak a coupla decades ago. The whole thing should be sucked into the Earth. The n case you missed it, I despise that place.
As RT was stepping down as HC, he stated on many an occasion how hard it was to get to Omaha.
