Looked gosh awful.
Young team + covid restrictions = disaster
I know things can turn around, but we have a long way to go.

Covid excuse...drop it
Illinois has the same covid concerns as we do...didn't affect them
1. I won't drop anything just because you have to come on like an ***. I will have my opinion if you don't like it - so what.
2. Not exactly. Giving a 0 points for freshman 1- soph - 2 - junior - 3 Senior (as experience points) Illinos had an average of 1.57 years of experience on the floor. Duke had an average .85 years of experience on the floor. Looking across multiple teams the teams with the most freshman influence are doing awful. Duke had 1 senior, one junior, one sophmore and 4 freshmen getting the most minutes. Illini had 2 seniors - 2 juniors - 1 soph and 2 freshman take most of their minutes. (I stuck with the top 7 minute getters for both teams as those 7 got close to 20 minutes + each) I specifically said YOUNG teams. We are not apples to apples with Illini in that respect. Compare us to UK they are more apples to apples in fact they are .875 using the same experience indicators. Only reason they are slightly higher is a grad transfer. They are sitting at 1-3. There is no denying K and Cal are great coaches, so what is the anomaly? Did they both miss on these recruits (possible but not probable) - they both have Covid restrictions that affect a team that is young (IMO) to a greater extent.
Now I am not using that as an excuse for Duke and UK. You make your bed you lie in it. But I do believe this is a year that is definitely going to favor older more mature teams to a greater extent.
Illinois lost to Missouri. Didnt know Missouri was that good this year.
