Coach Pope explained that the last 4 minutes of a blowout are as important as the first 4 minutes for analytical reasons. He mentioned how important it is to continue demonstrating high level efficiencies throughout the game and how it plays a role in tournament seeding. Pope understands the game at a high level and he doesn't think it is beneath him to explain to the fans what he is thinking and his decision-making process. The aforementioned is his reason for not giving Noah and Perry the playing time that they would have gotten a few years ago.

I tend to agree with this.
There is diminishing returns when it comes to things like the NET (ie. the difference between a 20 point win and 30 point win is greater than the difference between say a 30 point win vs a 40 point win). Having said that, always best to maximize those numbers as much as you can when they do indeed play a role in seeding.
