I have watched UK football since the late 80's. I have sat through more awful years than good. I always kept believing that someday things would turn around. I got my hopes up when Stoops had a couple 10 win seasons, but I am broken now. I can no longer get excited knowing that I will be let down. It is sad that we have a coach that has been with us for 13 years and is a top ten paid coach and seeing people hoping we win at least 6 games and saying that would be a success. So this fall I will be getting out and enjoying my Saturdays instead of being disappointed.

I am a long time UK fan who is now quitting the Cats, so I think I will go create a Rivals account to let my first post be to announce I am quitting. First and last (we hope).

If I had a dime for everytime someone said this since I’ve been on the board, I’d be a rich man. Even the times the team majorly sucked, I watched them. I may have bitched and moaned up one side and down the other, but I still watch them.
I have said that I was going to stop watching in the past, but I didn't I kept watching, but after 37 years I just can't watch anymore. I am tired of reading the same old stories about how good they look in practice and then watching them look awful in games. And I am not even unrealistic I would be happy if just every year you could count on the team to play tough every game, and be a team that wins 8-9 games. I was also all set to not watch any basketball games last year when it was announced Cal was coming back and then a ray of sunshine broke through and Cal left so I was at least able to watch basketball.
Not a U6 fan and they do not have everything going for them. U6 plays in crappy *** conference and that is the only reason they are able to win. They have played in crappy football conferences their whole existence and they are barely a .500 team all time. If they had played in the SEC or BIG their whole existence they would have probably ended their football program like they almost did in the 80's.

Saw a fan of the Cubs he said”If they don’t break your heart they aren’t the Cubbies”!! Kinda like my Cats but they are my ride and die team!! Curry and Joker almost made me not watch my Cats. Stoops broke a lot of bad strings here. Hopefully he can right this ship.
Do you remember the 0-10-1 days? Or when a good season was 2-9 or 4-7? Fans who piss and moan about 6-6 or 7-5 don't remember. Stoops 28 wins in the last 4 season is the best any coach at UK has ever done.
UK has never been or likely never be a powerhouse program.
I hope for a successful season with a bowl game but it will be quite a challenge to do given this seasons schedule. Regardless of this seasons results I will remain a UK FB supporter.
I'm going into this season with lower expectations with the hope that the CATS will surprise me. I'm in wait and see mode.

Are you saying that you are happy with Stoops being a top ten paid coach, having more resources and better facilities than any UK coach ever and going 7-6 (bowl loss) 7-6 (bowl loss) and 4-7 the last 3 years? I don't expect UK to be a powerhouse. And most fans are saying that in Stoops 13th season as coach that going 6-6 would be amazing.
I noticed you didn't mention his 10 win seasons. So no you didn't see the 1982 season that was 0-10-1

lol, gtfo. I am someone who has been a fan long enough to know that UK football is what it is. I can remember when UK was a doormat for Florida loosing to them by 70 every season, missing bowls every year, and getting embarrassingly low rated recruiting classes.
Stoops has failed to lift Kentucky to the next level, and I have been openly critical of him on here for years, but outright quitting before the season even starts just shows that you are a troll and not a legit fan.
