Every other major team plays guys like Noah, Chandler, Williams, and Jelavic. They just happen to run offense that benefits their strengths. Pope is trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole. No spacing, of ball movement or ball movement.

I bet it's Pope's fault
Yea, of course it is. Whose fault would it be? It’s all on him. He’s the guy that signed off on all of this and called it the golden goose. The issues with Pope are staggering. He’s as average as it gets and sometimes not even that. My God.

for every major team that plays guys like noah, chandler, williams, and jelavic that is legit good, there are 100 teams that are crap. this is the problem with fans....they see something that works and think thats the golden ticket, but ignore that its the 1% vs the norm.

everyone whined about 5 stars so we took shots on 4 and 3 stars....

Oh shut up. Jesus Christ. Nobody whined about 5 stars. They whined about John Calipari’s inability to DO ANYTHING with said 5 stars, which was (and still is) a perfectly valid and justified criticism.

So many idiotic and inaccurate statements made on this board every day. We don’t have 3 and 4 stars because we wanted them. We have them because Pope struck out on the 5 stars.

Quit trying to act like having a team stacked with talent that loses to a bunch of SCRUBS in the first round of the tourney is somehow preferable to this mess we’re watching now. It’s six of one, half dozen of the other. Both are unacceptable.

"Quit trying to act like having a team stacked with talent that loses to a bunch of SCRUBS in the first round of the tourney" THATS A COACHING ISSUE

i firmly believe pope with the rob and reed team would be good

its a recruiting problem before its a coaching problem

One of those is currently outperforming our 4 & 5 star guys. That’s the whole point. You only need one of those guys to step up in their “role” on a given day. They’ve all showed flashes at different times and you roll with whoever is performing. Glad Pope has stuck with Williams today. It also helps when you have a PG and guys aren’t forced into roles they can’t play.
