First off congrats to this fine young man. he has put a thumping on numbers 1,4,6,8 and he is ranked 9th. what does he have to do to get some respect? I love the new finishing skills he has developed in the last year. So if anyone wants to say there is no jumping levels in our room i say you havent been watching this young man continue to improve match in and match out.

hides his feet well once he gets a leg. Mostly because he lifts his opponent showing off some improved core strength. its just one fluid motion now.

That is what, I was thinking, Boyd is really wrestling well, Nolan Boyd 2016 NCAA champion? sounds far fetched I know, but he is at minimum a VERY tough out.

My favorite cowboy in a long time.
He's improved an amazing amount

Lost his wits at the end of matches last year.

Same story today difference is he pulls out a victory.

He's the kid you just love to root for because you could see his desire and hustle, even if he didn't quite have the execution down. He's turned the corner for sure.

He's one for sure. Clayton Foster comes to mind as well. Wrestled out of weight class his freshman year, IIRC.

You got to love Boyd, not a big recruit or the most athletic guy but through hard work has developed into one of the top guys in the country. It would be nice to see him on the top of the podium in NYC.
