Looks like CATA and NW Cabarrus are being replaced. NWC only regular season loss last season.

North Stanly played NWC last year in week 5. NS had a bye in week 4 last year and played Central Academy week 2 last year.

I've heard a rumor that CATA is dropping football due to lack of kids playing. Don't know for sure, just what I was told at a wrestling match last night. It makes sense, on the 3A board Parkwood is looking for a week 1 which was CATA last season.

It seems harder now to find non-conference games now that are close enough to generate a decent gate. What hurts the Yadkin Valley teams also that there are two schools in the conference who don’t play football and both are charter schools. Still a firm believer that charters shouldn’t be in public school conferences.

Stanly County will not be able to support 4 high schools for too much longer... I give it 3 years tops before they implode :confused:

No big surprise. I really don’t know why anyone would want to be a teacher or administrator in our public school system.

I heard they got a new principal, your not talking about that one are you? That was quick lol...

Either way, the school system is atrocious in Stanly County and I feel bad for parents. There is absolutely no growth in that county. Yeah, Pfeiffer is on its way to Albemarle, but that alone will not help. It's hard to attract big business when the school system is in the gutter, high *** taxes...and Christmas lights on in the summer :D... I have no idea what the vision is there...to keep it afloat by handing people buckets to throw the water overboard will the water is filling in from below...I have no idea...

Agreed the school system is a wreck but I like the lights downtown in the trees lining the streets.
