The Wildcats return from an eight day break to take on Michigan at the Crisler Arena. Northwestern is going to shoot a lot of 3s (it has shot at least 25 in each of its last five games), so as usual, this one will likely come down to whether the 'Cats can knock down their open shots and keep Michigan's efficient offense in check. Also, it will be interesting to see if Northwestern can shake its recent streak of starting games slowly on the offensive end.

no one at the game, amazing. Tells you that this is a nothing game, both teams playing for an NIT slot, good for Wildcats as that is their destiny, but boy has Michigan fallen apart
Big ten will only have six in the big dance this year, IU, Purdue, MSU, Maryland, Iowa and Wisky. will be interesting to see how many get an NIT bid
Just what the doctor ordered. Northwestern gets off to a hot start thanks to two 3s by Falzon, an and-one by Skelly and a couple jumpers by Olah. Michigan has missed several open 3s. 17-6 NU at the second timeout
And just like that, a 13-point lead evaporates. Northwestern missed six shots in a row, and Michigan took advantage of an Pardon guarding the paint instead of Olah, reeling off nine straight points. The Wolverines still don't have a 3, but trail only 19-17 at the third timeout
Alex Olah has done a little bit of everything on offense tonight, from mid-range pick and pops to 3s to traditional post moves. He has 14 of Northwestern's 26 points, and the Wildcats hold a five point lead with 3 minutes to go. The Wolverines shoot 40 percent from deep but have yet to hit a 3
Brutal end of the half. Momentum: Michigan. Wild shots by Falzon, McIntosh and Demps really cost us after playing18 solid minutes. Great strategy playing man-to-man vs. this team, but Bryant had his worst half of the season and Demps wasn't much better.
