We have a horrible football history, but our Cocks are one of the 10 best teams this year. We are not in the playoffs mainly because of Jason Autrey & crew. 10-2 we'd have played in Atlanta & would have also been in the playoff. DAMN.

We'd have beaten Indiana by 3 TDs & Notre Dame by 10-13.
This game is a pathetic slugfest between two desperately mediocre football teams
ANY 7 win or better SEC team would have beaten either of these two teams by two scores.
We aren't in the playoffs because the committee didn't want us in it. Period.
Everyone should remember this and make it a rallying cry like "Remember the Alamo"

We still beat Clemson, which plays in a pu$$Y conference. They would be lower tier in the SEC and, thus, nowhere near the playoffs.

Enjoy watching the Tigers play in the CFP, something your team has never done. Remember 9-3 is a good year for the gamecocks, while it's a down year for the Tigers.

Of course, you might get lucky today when on any given day a team can win in a battle. But try playing a SEC schedule for an entire season. THAT is a WAR that the Gamecocks go through annually, not a battle. I'd love to see the tigers try that once to see what happens.

I am going to resist the temptation to slam you after you just lost your 3rd game of the season to a SEC team. Rather, I will just make a friendly suggestion. You guys, maybe not you, I'm not sure, but many in your fanbase are begging to get into the SEC. If you guys have half of a brain, you will be content to stay in the ACC. You guys and FSU are SEC-type of programs in a conference where just about all the remaining teams are "basketball-oriented". You and FSU should be able to dominate that conference for years to come and have an easy path to the playoffs. In the SEC, you will be competing against 8 "traditional powers". You should want no part of the SEC. It's too tough. You will often have to be lucky to make the top half of the conference. Just a friendly suggestion.

Scheduling is a "coin toss". Can't count on it every year. You know that.
By the way, I'm on record here wanting you guys into the SEC and stating the reason for that being that your easy path to the playoffs would be over.
Hopefully, in the future, there will be a change on how it's determined who makes the playoffs. I believe we deserved to get in. Maybe there was a quota? Who knows? But I believe we, Bama and Ole Miss deserved to get in. But I could just hear the howling if 5 or 6 SEC teams got in. It's a tough *** league. As the adage goes, "be careful what you wish for".
