This is from Freddie Maggard's write-up over at KSR;

Kentucky let another SEC win slip through their fingers. Pun intended. Much like against Auburn, Kentucky had the perceived better team and should have won. Unexplainable play calling, decision making, and other mishaps denied the Cats from inching one game closer to bowl eligibility. Now, with Charlotte and Louisville remaining, postseason play projections are bleak at best.

I thought our own TJ Walker said it well.

I hope I'm wrong but Stoops isn't going to get it done at UK. 1,000 chances to win and the Cats come up short.

It's not that hard to see. When an SEC coaching staff allows Vandy to use a Middle School play to score what ended up being the winning score, your whole approach needs serious evaluation.

That's what makes it so frustrating. Lack of talent is not the main problem with this team. Organization, discipline, alignment, technique and confidence are, which points directly toward this staff.

Despite somewhat lesser expectations than many here I was totally fooled in this one. What on earth did the books see (UK +3) that fans here did not see? FWIW, Cats are 2-8 against the spread so far this year.

Peace

Nothing acceptable about the Vanda game. Dawson is not ready and neither is Eliot. Defense played wellbut Vandy is awful on offense.
Stoops is lost right now.

Looks to me like the Dawson hire has been a complete and unmitigated disaster. He's so bad that he makes Elliott and Stoops look good, and that's difficult to do at this point.

The joke is on you. Walker said this after the UF game. A time when we were playing well.
DUDE! are you blind? have you never watched college football? I told EVERYBODY on this board a month ago this wasn't a well coached team, NOW EVERYONE see's that but you! what are you basing your faith on?

I have stated many time throughout the season what I am basing my faith on. I have never been the 10-2 win the East guy. I have tempered my expectations because I am a realist of what our team is. It is a team with its "leaders" as guys who have never won anything, followed by a group of talented young guys that are trying to figure out how to win. Player leadership is very important. We have guys who play hard that are upperclassmen, but we also know that they are not very good, which makes it even harder for them to lead. So what are you left with? A bunch of young, talented, but physically over matched team that is trying to figure out what it takes to win. Ask any coach in college football and they will tell you that playing that many young guys and relying on them to be the majority of production is not something they would feel good about. Now, they can feel good about their future, but playing them that young and relying on the many is just not a good situation.
