That was unnecessary.
Not really, we're in a mess as a society and critical thinking is on the fall. A quick search for how much AD has made in the NBA reveals it is $310,327,834. I'm sure he has made a bunch in endorsements and such as well, but when they guy hasn't even netted that much money in his entire playing career, do we really expect him to drop 400 mil on a school in which he played for one year?

Beyond that, just looking at the number should give you serious doubts. This is the same vibe as old folks getting telephone or facebook scammed. Step back, take a sec, and use that brain when confronted with information that appears to be too good to be true.

That’s before taxes and sports players are taxed immensely so his net on that is about 150 million. Also why the hell would he care about the football stadium? I mean the whole thing is so laughably preposterous 😂

Your first sentence is dead on. When half your country can't think and put 2 and 2 together and deduce that a wide open border is going to allow many here that wan't us all dead, your country is in a complete and utter freefall.

Oh absolutely, I could have continued but figured it got the point across.

The first thing I did was just google Anthony Davis donates to UK and only found reference to the money he gave to flooding victims (thanks AD!) and his recent donations to some staff member who was affected by the wildfires. Checking that, looking up his total earnings, and writing that post took all of 2 minutes.

Honestly we need to bring back shaming in society, it’s the only way to keep the fringes in check. You weigh 500 lbs and are riding in a scooter at the grocery store? Shamed. You think a guy worth 200 million (maybe) from playing basketball donated 400 million for a football stadium? Shamed. We have what? 6 Billion people on earth now? At least 600 million are a drain - gotta make sure they realize it and are held in check. I mean the OP and people like him are the reason we get 6,000 robocalls on our phone a year and I keep getting texts telling me I’m so kind every other day.

$4M would be amazing, but possible. $400M, no chance. That would take a multi-billionaire, which he isn't, and even then it's unlikely.

There’s spammers on that Popes cats facebook group that post false information all the time. I’m amazed at the amount of people that fall for it

I disagree.

This entire country could use a course in media/social media literacy. The amount of pure BS that’s circulated as gospel truth is alarming to say the least.

Some of my older relatives will share anything they agree with or want to be true despite not verifying their info before clicking share.

Basically, if one were to read a clickbait headline that sounds too absurd to be true, a simple Google search should easily debunk the clickbait it if it is not true, and there will be multiple reputable sources to confirm the info if it is true.

But, Shaedon Sharpe? That goes beyond shamed and straight flogging into oblivion.

As a white male Christian young-Earth creationist, I can assure you shaming in society is doing A-okay.
