I responded to corys post about unc self investigating themselves in the Frank Jackson thread in what was a civil, imo, post and old Mike was quick to delete the post and say let's get back on topic. One of his own is the one who brought it up and I get banned for responding. I don't bring it here as some type of badge that I'm proud to wear, I just mention it b/c now I understand all of you who have mentioned him and his quick to ban, let's have no conversation or warning about a topic attitude. He must really be taking this duke dominating stuff tough.

I never get tired of laughing at the idiocracy that I read over there. I just came from over there and got another good laugh from them.

I was banned over there but then one day after rivals updated the message boards to this new design/format. I decided to see if I would be able to post over there and I was able to. I don't know if it's because of the new design/format or if I was unbanned and just happened to realize it after the new update happened. I haven't posted over there again other than that one time. I just like to go over there to read new posts/threads when I'm bored and want a good laugh.
It's like the county landfill, smells like **** but you just gotta look at the sea gulls.
it happened to everyone who was banned. I noticed the same thing but was banned again when they realized it
I was banned without posting over there (but I can understand why). Heelbent did get me reinstated though. They're a little sensitive to outside posters, but considering everything that has happened lately (the scandal)...can't blame them much for circling the wagons. Still, we can enjoy their misery 'cause I know they would if the shoe was on the other foot.

Count me in as banned from there as well. I thought I was civil, but I guess not. I was responding to the thread they had about Phil Jackson saying Duke players underachieve in the NBA. My response was that if Coach K's players underachieve, then Roy's players must never achieve at the next level.

I subscribe to this theory. They have their ways and that does not include allowing Duke fans to voice their opinions in a respectfulmanner. Some of us, way back, used to post over ther a lot and it was a decent board where they would allow us to lay out well though out points. The best advice I can give is to not post there.

When I got banned, I came to realize that it doesn't matter how polite/respectful you are when you post a response in disagreement of something that one of their posters has said because in their eyes it's grounds for an automatic ban on THR.
haha, basically just happened to me. not banned yet but i posted a response to Dsouth's post in which he just blatanly makes things up and said he was wrong. I was then called a "doochie" and mocked saying why should they believe my opinion over his hahahaha. Guess they dont know the difference between what a fact, opinion or just making stuff up is.
definitely the best advice, and advice that i followed for a long time. however, when one of their posters stated that unc self investigated themselves and duke should have done the same thing for lance thomas i could not hold back. i mean the reason this has been going on for the last 5 years is b/c they did not investigage and tried to cover up from the beginning. if they did investigage themselves from the beginning then they did a horrible job considering all the stuff that came out when the ncaa came in and gave their notice of allegations. whats done is done. again, i didnt come here to beat my chest and say look at me im banned. it was more of a holy crap i got banned for that? and wanted to express my disbelief. glad to hear other stories and know im not the only one.
Audi, it's all good. I think they really take pride in banning people. They joke about it and claim they have every right to regardless. The funny thing is, I would imagine they suck at real life conversations when they're not allowed to ban people that disagree with them.
In real life, you have to back up an argument with facts, not just nonsense opinions. But hey, they are funny to read.
I did read his response to you...and he questioned your opinion with a "you're not tied to the coaching staff" so you don't know squat. My question is, how the hell does he know what he's saying about Duke...is he "tied to the coaching staff"?

While my disdain for UNC is pretty evident from the majority of my posts, I'm pretty sure I got banned for liking too many posts like the one you're describing Audi.
LOL, that's almost as bad as why dukiejay and I got banned a few years back.
I wonder if they'll ever ban people for legit reasons or if it will always be the off the wall reasons like the one Mark got banned for or like I was banned for disagreeing with a THR member that said Coach K should've been ashamed of himself for acting the way he did when he got excited and gave Mason a huge bear hug a few years ago after Mason threw down a huge dunk that had the entire bench on their feet cheering including the coaching staff and Andre Dawkins sitting behind the bench.
I have no reason to post over there whether I can or not. Like I said it's their board. I do admit that I lurk from time to time but don't read a lot of threads. I try to stay on top of how Mike Irby is doing with his fight vs. cancer. Wish him and all cancer victims the best. He loves UNC jut as much as I love Duke. Here I can be myself because I'm home. There I'm totally an intruder and feel uncomfortable. If you've been banned from there no use having sour grapes. We've all been warned as to the situation. If you don't want to be and can't stand being banned don't post. OFC

You're right about that. I've heard of at least a few DI members that have been banned over at THR for something that they posted here on DI and they've never posted on THR
