It is fair to say we probably will drop out of the top 25, but it's not the end of the world. Who would have honestly expected more with a patchwork team. It's better than starting off 0-5 in conference.

Cal will have 3 guys that will want to win more than anything in Rupp again (one last time). This will be a harder game by far and if we are still hurting we could easily lose this game. We have to get guys healthy and guys believing they can run the table the rest of the way. I know they will not run the table but you (as a player) have to believe you can win them all. Like others you would think a bunch of high quality mid major guys would want to prove themselves. They got a little comfortable with the early success. Almost like fools gold. Time to go back to work (coaches and players) figure things out and get to getting.

I’ve tried to maintain my expectations/ enthusiasm with this team , it over performed so much early . Now Carr is out , Kerr is out , butler is banged up .. and another poster used the right word — this team is sooooooo fragile . We talk about nicknames for teams frequently here , I the this should be the FRAGILE Cats ..mentally physically, in all ways just so easy to break ..
with the game on the line we can’t execute a simple pass from P1 to P5 to even start a set . Not one single pass . Not one .. freaking soft and sad

I’m not sure meeting mediocre expectations is the goal. But I do agree no matter what it’s going to be a better season than many of us hoped for or expected in July.

We are significantly short handed right now. Butler is playing hurt. Carr was playing hurt, now out. Krissa out.

Not sure what people expect but these are massive problems we are dealing with right now.

You are correct! This board is full of idiots. This team is not deep cannot afford not to have carr and butler not at 100%. Krissa is much better than Perry and is missed more than just what the stats show. If they don’t get healthy there won’t be many wins to be had the rest of the season. But people always want to rip the coach of players instead of accepting the unfortunate facts. Lots of classless and uninformed folks that love to make their misguided opinions known.

I can't agree with so much of that. First, our SOS combined with our Q1 and Q2 records will create a ceiling for our ranking. Looking at tge remaining schedule, I think we go 11-7 or at worst, 10-8 for the season without dropping out of the top 25.

BTW, Arkansas is terrible.

Coach Pope is already recruiting well. I am seeing faults as well, but I see improvements to. I don't think anyone expected high expectations this year. Coach Pope walked into the best the SEC has ever looked top to bottom.

No UK coach ever had to face a SEC like this. Maybe give him more than 19 games to figure it out

They are a different team defensively on the road than at home. Their Defensive rating on the road is 1.083 which is higher than our rating last year or this year. Also, we are 12th in the country in RPG and Arkansas is 167th in RPG. Based on the eye test alone anyone can see that they struggle to score themselves so I really don't know why you have talked yourself into being scared of them?

5-7 is what will most likely happen. Since the Louisville game Kentucky hasn’t been good, they are 4-4 and have been getitng a little worse every week. Now injuries are apart of that, but other teams are injured and are still winning
