Fresno State will play in the tourney this year, you could see the chemistry, the effort, the shooting, and the ball skills. We lacked in ALL 4 OF THOSE CATEGORIES during today's game. This "no point guard" experiment is a joke. A.J. Turner is not a point guard and never will be (but he could be a good small forward if that shot ever returns). As much as I like Anthony Gaines, he's even less of a point guard. Ryan Greer fits the bill and really needs to get more run and soon.
I also like what Pete Nance brings. I know he's a little less sure of himself than Kopp, but he just needs to be put out there and given slack to figure it out, which he will. He's simply too talented.
Our transfers were really, really bad today but I don't think that will be the norm as both Turner and Taylor have talent. This will be a good wakeup call for the team and they need to win the remaining two games out west in order to salvage the trip. Hopefully some clear combinations of players that work together comes out of this.
