Not sure where Parrish got this, but he thinks JQ debuts against St. Johns

JQ might not help if our team keeps playing like they are now. But if we assume the rest of the team plays significantly better, then the addition of an impact player could push us over the top in a close game. Either way, looking forward to having him back. I'm tired of losing, so hopefully he makes a huge impact.

I don’t think it makes sense.

Play him against IU to hopefully save your whole coaching tenure if you can.

But if you can’t play him for IU then save him for Alabama. Get him a whole three weeks more recuperating time and if you’re lucky get your team playing some actual defense and offense over those three weeks so by the time Quaintance comes in he’s not just one more player pissing into the wind.

How are other teams making this NIL thing work then?

Playing hard, smart, and together as a team is the only way you can make any team work, NIL or not.
We are not doing any of the three yet I still hold out some hope for that. Indiana will be the big game for all of us. We need that game freaking bad.

I love him, but JQ, is not the problem. NIL, buys only money grabbers. The answer starts with the NCAA. It's time for the power conferences to walk away from the NCAA/NBA. The NCAA is nothing but old narcistic fools.
If you see NIL as a problem, then I can assure you that a power conference only breakaway organization is only going to make that worse instead of solving anything. It’s definitely not the EKUs and Wright States of the world pushing the envelope of how much pay for play is technically legal.

Anyone who thinks he won’t make a difference must not have watched him in action last year. He plays with the energy that is missing from this team.
Yeah he will help for sure but nothing he does will fix 20% from the field and 15% from 3. We don’t pass, don’t shoot, can’t play as a team. Maybe we only lose by 20 instead of 35 if we play the same way.

Blocking one here:

Asking for BBN United the way they play right now is bold.

It won't even matter. Quaintance may truly be a superstar, but with the dead weight all around him, it won't matter. He doesn't even have the ball in his hands. He's depending on one of these mediocre guards to get him the ball and he can't make them able to handle the ball well enough or get them the pass in the right place to make a difference. Maybe Quaintance should play point, shooting guard, small forward, center, all while he's playing power forward. He needs to also walk on water and heal the sick to add to the miracles we're all expecting. St John's is going to destroy this team.

Pope will do what he thinks is best for the kid job be damned, that's my feeling anyway. Any real UK fan would want that as well!!!!!

I mean given how bad we are at shooting this year, if he can rebound (something nobody else on the team seems to even attempt) and get put backs it already makes us a much better team.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets in a few minutes tonight. Might explain the betting line boosting overnight.

Every major school uses NIL and none have the problems UK does so its hard to blame that. No matter what league they create they will never be able to cap what a player gets from NIL.

Get JQ, Lowe, and Mo back, rust knocked off, this could be a totally different team. With those 3, it pushes the minutes down for the ones who DGAF or not giving max effort. Better overall defense means more stops, which means more looks on offense and will keep the game from getting away because of people playing who shouldn't be. Adding those 3 back, depth becomes a more valuable metric and will be a ton better defensively. Defense is a big problem right now, getting JQ and a healthy Mo helps with that. That is 40% of your starting lineup, huge difference.
