Did anyone else notice how pathetic Ohio State's playcalling and offense looked yesterday? I know MSU has a stout defense but there were entire 3-down series that the QB draw was run. Barrett threw, what, 15 passes and Zeke Elliot only carried 13 times in a game where OSU ran the ball 80% of the time? Weather was definitely a factor but did OSU even try to throw the ball downfield? Really a poorly coached game, IMO, from one of the great coaches in all of CFB.
And OSU's punter? Made Landon Foster look like an AA. OSU obviously has >>>> talent than UK. But they certainly laid a big stinker yesterday against a team playing with 2 backup QBs who were NOT going to pass them to victory.
So, Stoops has not been good this year (and staff). But, it obviously happens even to HOF coaches at times. Meyer has certainly been more good than bad but you could argue the whole QB controversy has harmed OSU throughout the season and they've really never found their stride. Bielema did not make very good decisions down the stretch vs MS St last night, either. Richt. Les Miles. All successful coaches have their head-scratching moments. Unfortunately, MS has had more than his fair share this year. Hopefully, he's learned something.
